Monday Night Raw Review - May 11, 2026

The Street Profits and Joe Hendry Interrupted The Vision; Street Profits and Hendry def. The Vision ((Bron Breakker and World Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Logan Paul)

I still don't see a need for The Vision (or at least for Breakker aligning with them) when Breakker beat Seth Rollins all on his own at Backlash. Nonetheless, their show-opening promo was fine, and the subsequent six-man tag team match was enjoyable. Rollins costing Breakker the win keeps that feud alive, and Angelo Dawkins pinning Theory was enough to earn them a World Tag Team Championship opportunity at Saturday Night's Main Event.

​Intercontinental Champion Penta and Je'Von Evans Attacked Ethan Page and Rusev; Evans def. Rusev

Was this another impromptu match or was that six-man tag team opener actually advertised in advance? I can't recall. Either way, Evans vs. Rusev was well worked and gave Evans a nice rebound win. I liked the segment that preceded it as well. Page has been booked well since debuting on the Raw after WrestleMania 42, but he needed some mic time to establish himself and that's what we got here. We also found out it will be Penta vs. Page for the Intercontinental Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event. I'm mildly surprised it won't be a Fatal 4-Way.

The Judgment Day Attacked WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship has largely been exclusive to SmackDown over the last month, so I appreciated that the champs appeared on Raw for a change. There wasn't much to this segment, but it did make it clear that Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez have their sights set on the tag titles and that all the women in Judgment Day want to hold gold simultaneously.

IYO SKY def. Sol Ruca

Much like at Backlash, SKY once again embraced Asuka backstage before Asuka walked off, so it looks like Asuka will indeed be gone for the foreseeable future. As for this match, it was a blast. I had my guard up for interference from Becky Lynch (who Ruca laid out last week), so I was happy when that didn't happen. It was a really entertaining outing and Ruca lost nothing in defeat.

Oba Femi def. Los Garza in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match

Los Garza were revealed to be the newest members of the Raw roster earlier in the evening, but unfortunately for them, no one answered Femi's open challenge, so Femi walked to the back and brought them out to the ring because they were the first two Superstars he saw. This was a total squash as it should have been, and I applaud the effort to do something slightly different, but it did leave me wondering whether Los Garza are on their way out based on how they were used here (including their recent losses to Royce Keys on SmackDown).

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio def. "Original" El Grande Americano

While I can't say I cared about the AAA Mega Championship being defended on Raw, WWE did do an effective job of playing up the prestige and importance of the title through video packages throughout the show. Mysterio and Americano had a quality contest, but I don't blame the crowd for being quiet since the title never fully felt like it was in jeopardy. This just existed to further the feud between the Americanos, which I still don't give a shit about on the main roster.

Jacob Fatu Attacked World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and The Usos

You had to know the Reigns vs. Fatu feud wasn't over after how Backlash ended and I have no issue with that whatsoever, especially with the angle they shot here. Fatu came across like an absolute badass laying out Reigns and The Usos, clearly setting up the need for a rematch. I assume that will take place at Clash in Italy. I doubt they put the belt on Fatu, but they really should after this.

Overall Show

This wasn't exactly an exhilarating follow-up show to Backlash. I'd go so far as to say Raw has been better more often than not, but this wasn't one of the red brand's stronger efforts. It largely lacked life. I thought the first hour delivered and I liked what they did at the end, but everything else was hit or miss. Saturday Night's Main Event is on May 23rd and Clash in Italy is on May 31st, so it looks like we're going to get more rushed build for the next few weeks.
