World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and The Usos Attacked Jacob Fatu; Reigns Accepted Fatu's Tribal Combat ChallengeFemi has gotten the better of Reigns and The Usos at pretty much every turn over the last month, so I had no issue with Reigns and The Usos laying a brutal beatdown on him here. It was well done, and even then, Fatu had it in him to challenge Reigns to a Tribal Combat match at Clash in Italy, which Reigns immediately accepted. These guys have been closing out every Raw since after WrestleMania 42, so I thought having them start the show this week was a nice change of pace. Finn Balor def. JD McDonagh in a Street FightYes, this is the third match these two have had in less than a month, but it was also the rubber match in their feud, so while I understand fans feeling fatigued, this felt necessary to me. I wish it would have been saved for Clash in Italy or even Saturday Night's Main Event where they could have had a little more time (and not deal with commercials), but at least they made the most of the stipulation here and had an enjoyable Street Fight. I don't really see a need for this feud to continue, but I'm sure we're going to get Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio again at some point. Women's Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca Faced OffI liked how this segment technically started in the back with the two exchanging words and that leading to them facing off in the ring. This was another quality exchange from them with Lynch delivering on the mic per usual and Ruca holding her own. I appreciated how Lynch clarified that their match at Saturday Night's Main Event would be non-title since Ruca has done nothing to deserve a shot at her Women's Intercontinental Championship yet. Hey, she's not wrong. El Grande Americano and Los Americanos def. Los Americanos Hermanos and "Original" El Grande Americano in a Trios Tornado MatchI'm glad this storyline has largely been relegated to AAA in recent months, but it blows my mind that we're still getting matches with these guys on Raw in the meantime. From an in-ring standpoint, they're totally fine, but I find it impossible to care about any of this. I must not be alone based on how quiet the crowd was for this. I'm beyond ready for the blow-off next weekend so we can finally move on. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige def. The Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez)Brie and Paige's matches as champions so far haven't exactly been lighting the world on fire, but I can't complain about them defending their titles. The match was perfectly fine, but the bigger takeaway was that Bayley and Lyra Valkyria made the save for Brie and Paige afterward. Sure, they could be gunning for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, but I also wouldn't be surprised if one of them sets their sights on the Women's World Championship instead since Liv Morgan needs challengers. Brock Lesnar Attacked Oba FemiConsider Femi's open challenge officially over. That didn't last long. I thought they'd drag it out until at least June so Femi could enter and win the King of the Ring tournament, but apparently not. I have to imagine bringing back Lesnar so soon after WrestleMania was a pivot because there was no reason for him and Femi to rekindle their rivalry. The crowd popped huge, but I'm still skeptical regarding where this is going. It was announced immediately afterward that Femi and Lesnar will have their rematch at Clash in Italy. Seth Rollins def. World Tag Team Champion Austin TheoryThe in-ring work was solid, but this felt like a fairly lifeless main event. There weren't any stakes and there was no incentive for the crowd to get excited about anything they did. Plus, I'm already over Rollins feuding with The Vision. I get him not being done with Bron Breakker after losing to him at Backlash, but I'm more intrigued by whatever they're teasing with Rollins and Montez Ford, who doesn't trust Rollins. Overall ShowThis was another edition of Raw that started well enough but saw its energy dwindle as it progressed. The red brand is in significantly stronger shape than the blue brand at the moment, and this was an improvement over last week's effort, but it also wasn't all that eventful outside of Lesnar's shocking return. The hype for Clash in Italy and Saturday Night's Main Event was effective, though, including Ethan Page's sit-down interview ahead of his Intercontinental Championship clash with Penta this weekend.
