Natalia Markova def. HunterThe stipulation was that Markova would've never again been able to challenge Kenzie Paige for the NWA World Women's Championship had she lost here. I realized this was an intergender match, but I'm actually surprised it was as competitive as it was considering Hunter hasn't been positioned as any sort of a threat (I honestly don't recall him wrestling in the NWA prior to this). It was fine and Markova won as she should have. William Patrick Corgan Honored Jax DaneDane passed away at the end of 2024, but although it's been acknowledged on the show since then, they haven't been able to do an in-ring tribute like this until now. Corgan was emotional talking about the person Dane was while also playing up his accomplishments before the 10-bell salute. This was a nice tribute to someone who was synonymous with the NWA brand for many years. Baron Von Storm def. NWA Exodus Pro Champion Pretty Boy Smooth by Disqualification; Storm and Bam Bam Malone def. Brandon Barretta and SmoothSmooth holds one of the territory titles the NWA is partnered with. He's been in action on Powerrr before, but this didn't have any story behind it to my knowledge. EC3 came out with Smooth, but I have no knowledge of any alliance between them. The match was whatever before it was interrupted by EC3's goons. Malone making the save was what led to the impromptu tag team matchup, which was passable. At least Storm got to honor Dane, who was his tag partner before he passed. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Thom Latimer def. CarnageIt looked like Aron Stevens was going to be the one to challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship (especially after all the cinematic vignettes we've seen in recent weeks teasing it), but Stevens stepped aside at the last second and allowed Carnage to get the shot instead. This exceeded my expectations as an enjoyable main event with Carnage giving his best singles performance I've seen from him under the mask and I'm glad that the outside involvement was kept to a minimum. Overall ShowOn the whole, this was a thumbs-up edition of Powerrr. The title match turned tag match didn't do much for me, but the stuff with Storm served its purpose. The rest of the show was solid with Markova furthering her feud with Paige, Corgan paying tribute to Dane and Latimer successfully defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. I appreciated that this felt like a somewhat important episode by Powerrr standards.
