Dr. Vik def. Wrecking Ball Legursky in an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Match by Count-OutYes, this was an actual match they did, but to be fair, Vik has been a regular character on Powerrr for a while now, mostly in vignettes crushing on Tiffany Nieves, so this did have some story behind it. It was obviously ridiculous that Vik would beat Legursky, but it was done in fluky fashion with Vik winning by count-out, and Vik earning a shot at the title later in the night felt more like a one-off attraction anyway, if only to see how he'd fare against Silas Mason. The Good Brothers def. The Rewind SocietyI thought this might be a Crockett Cup match, but apparently not. It was just a regular match to give Good Brothers a win, which is fine. They went over quickly and decisively as they should have. I don't know how far they'll go in the Crockett Cup, but given how established they are, I wouldn't mind seeing them challenge for (and maybe even win) the NWA World Tag Team Championship eventually. The Colons and The Country Gentlemen Went Face-to-FaceI liked that we got a segment to hype an upcoming match in the Crockett Cup. The promos weren't amazing or anything like that, but I thought they were effective enough in terms of building tension between these teams before they face off. It made an otherwise forgettable match more meaningful. I don't remember the NWA doing a lot of this with the past Crockett Cups, so it's been a refreshing change for this year. Sirena Veil and Haley J def. Pretty EmpoweredI was confused when this was announce as a number one contender's match for the NWA World Women's Championship at the Crockett Cup event with this being, you know, a tag team match. I almost thought they meant to say the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship, but apparently the stipulation was that whoever scored the win for their team would earn the title shot. It was a well-worked bout and I was happy to see Veil go over since she's the freshest face of the four. Daisy Kill def. Eric Smalls in a Shanghai Lethal Ladder MatchThe feud between Kill and Smalls has been totally serviceable. Kill hasn't had a lot of luck lately, even losing to Smalls at least once (maybe twice), but it was logical for him to go over here since it's not like they're building up Smalls for anything (though he does play his role well). If you were wondering what the hell the stipulation meant, it was basically a Ladder match where kendo sticks were legal. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason def. Dr. VikAs mentioned earlier, there was no way Vik was winning here, but it was all about how long he'd last in there with Mason. The match wasn't as short as I thought it'd be, but Mason did take his time with him at the end. Mason cut a really good promo afterward, and it was made official that he'll be defending against Bryan Idol in a rematch at the Crockett Cup event (set to air on a future episode of Powerrr). Overall ShowIn a rather random move (unless it was announced a while ago and I just so happened to miss it), Powerrr is moving from The Roku Channel to Comet TV starting this Friday with new episodes airing weekly on Saturday afternoons. It's definitely a step up for the show, but I wish there was a tad more advance notice. As for this final episode on Roku Channel, it was solid. The stuff with the world title bookended the show (even though it was ultimately inconsequential) and most of what we got in the middle felt like it served a purpose, so at least they didn't phone it in for their Roku Channel swan song.
