NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Country Gentlemen def. Size Matters (Non-Title)I'm genuinely surprised this lasted as long as it did considering Size Matters haven't been presented as any sort of a threat up to this point and they were in there with tag champs. That isn't to say this was a bad match, though. For the time allotted, it was perfectly fine and Country Gentlemen went over as they should have. I'm not sure what purpose the NWA United States Tag Team Championship serves considering the lack of depth in the division at the moment. NWA National Champion Mims def. Mike MondoDid this receive build beforehand and I just missed it? I know Mondo was feuding with Burchill at one point, but that feud hasn't been furthered in a while. I also don't know if Mims is supposed to be a babyface or a heel, so this had an odd dynamic. There was nothing technically wrong with the match, but it never reached that next gear and featured too much interference from Mims' manager BLK Jeez. NWA World Tag Team Champion Mike Knox def. The Slime Ballz in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match; Slime Ballz def. Knox in a 2-on-1 Handicap MatchThis was bizarre booking all around. If Trevor Murdoch wasn't able to appear due to travel issues (regardless of whether that's real or kayfabe), why continue to advertise an NWA World Tag Team Championship match with him and Mike Knox defending against Slime Ballz? And why have Knox quickly squash Slime Ballz only to lose to them in an impromptu rematch (albeit with an assist from Carson Drake)? Slime Ballz earned themselves two title shots with the win, which doesn't make a lot of sense if they beat Knox and Murdoch the first time. None of this made much sense. Overall ShowThis was billed as the 200th edition of Powerrr, which is a cool milestone for a show that's surprisingly still airing new episodes six years removed from its first. To the NWA's credit, the show has improved quite a bit as of late with a bit more attention to consistent storytelling and better production, but I did not like what we got at the end of this edition. Meanwhile, the first two matches were decent but hardly anything out of the ordinary (despite the NWA National Championship being on the line in one of them), so this was a tad underwhelming for what was supposed to be a special show.
