Wrecking Ball Legursky def. Jay Bradley in a Chain Match

​I've liked how this feud has been built up over the last little while with Bradley returning and betraying Legursky. It's better than them just going their separate ways and forgetting that they teamed for so long. This was your average Chain match, and although it was slow at times, I appreciated that they beat they hell out of each other. Legursky winning felt like the blow-off, but we'll see if the rivalry resumes past this point.

The Colons def. Daisy Kill and Talos in a Crockett Cup Quarterfinal Match

Despite the heel vs. heel dynamic (which is bound to happen in a tournament with so many teams), this benefited from having a genuinely unpredictable outcome. Kill and Talos have had more success in the NWA, but The Colons are an actual team (and have been around forever), so I had no issue with them advancing. As a match, this was decent albeit nothing out of the ordinary.

NWA World Tag Team Champions Knox and Murdoch def. Mike Mondo and Spencer Slade in a Crockett Cup Quarterfinal Match (Non-Title)

It felt like the commercial break dominated most of this match and it never got out of first gear as a result, but what we got to see was perfectly fine.  With Knox and Murdoch being the NWA World Tag Team champs, it made more sense for them to move onto the semifinals, where they'll face The Immortals (and that one could go either way). Mondo and Slade have worked well together from the little I've seen of them teaming, so I'd be down for them staying a duo coming out of the tourney.

Overall Show

The Crockett Cup continues. The in-ring action was more of the same, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I would like some better bouts we get into the semifinals and the finals. The Chain match made this show stand out a little more and I also enjoyed the hype for next week's matches with Mims defending the NWA Television Championship against Max the Impaler and Silas Mason taking on Alexander Hammerstone (which I'm especially looking forward to).
