NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo def. Eric Smalls, Rolando Freeman and Soda Pop in a Four-Way MatchWell, this was a random title match, and even weirder is that I'm pretty sure Alonzo departed the NWA earlier in the summer. Is this match that old, or is he still champion and simply isn't under contract to the company? Either way, this was a nice little match (no pun intended, I suppose). Smalls and Freeman canceled each other out, but I have no idea why Soda Pop was in there, especially if he wasn't going to take the pinfall lose. This was thankfully kept on the shorter side (okay, pun intended that time). Jax Dane def. Anthony CatenaApparently Catena is one of Chris Silvio's new clients, which is why he was ringside. He used to be with Dane, so I liked the attention to detail. Catena was actually pretty impressive and scored some offense before eating defeat. It was a fairly decisive win for Dane otherwise, but I thought Catena looked good in defeat. We'll see if he pops up again or this was merely a one-off for him. Tiffany Nieves and Reka Tehaka Addressed NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige and Kylie PaigeNieves and Tehaka confirmed in this interview with Kyle Davis that they are now shifting their sights toward the NWA World Women's Championship. Are the Paige sisters technically still Pretty Empowered or no? Regardless, this served as solid setup for their tag team match next week. The Paige sisters want the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship, but it would make more sense for Nieves and Tehaka to win so one of them can challenge Kenzie for her title. Baron Von Storm def. BozDane (Storm's tag team partner) was already in action earlier in the episode, so this easily could have been saved for a different show. Or, you know, not happened at all. I'm sorry but Storm's new character does nothing for me. I applaud his effort to switch things up this late in his career, but it's difficult to take him seriously as a menacing figure. His goofy facial expressions will be the only thing I remember from this squash. Kyle Davis Interviewed Magic Jake Dumas and The KidzThis wasn't nearly as effective as the other talking segment on this show, largely because I was completely confused what they were talking about. Dumas mentioned Carson Drake and The Kids referenced beating The Slime Ballz, so does that mean we're getting a six-man tag team match soon? What's the connection between Dumas and The Kidz? What reason is there to care? NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 def. KC CazanaCazana didn't feel like a threat to the title in the slightest and he's obviously done nothing to earn the opportunity, but at least he had the chance to show what he can do. Unfortunately, this was another dull title defense in a long line of dull title defenses from EC3. I'll take his reign over Tyrus' any day of the week, but a majority of EC3's title defenses have been boring. The outcome not being in doubt didn't help, but it was well worked. Overall ShowWith two title matches bookending this edition of Powerrr, you'd think it would've been more eventful, but it really wasn't. The opener came out of nowhere and didn't need to happen, and there wasn't anything about the main event I found particularly interesting. The stuff with Dane and Storm continues to be lame as well. The first talking segment was arguably the most effective thing on the entire episode as it built toward next week's tag team match, but this felt like a throwaway show otherwise.
