Looks That Kill def. Taylor Rising and AJ CazanaCazana and Rising were a rather random duo, so it made sense for Looks That Kill to go over. Natalia Markova seems to only win whenever she's teaming with Bryan Idol. Unfortunately for her, the NWA doesn't have mixed tag team titles (and they shouldn't so don't think I'm advocating for them). This was a well-worked match with the two teams having nice chemistry together, but I'm not quite sure why it happened. Carson Drake and The Slime Ballz def. Magic Jake Dumas and The KidzThe promo Dumas and The Kidz cut on Drake and The Slime Ballz last week was replayed before this bout. I'm glad it actually amounted to something, even if I didn't really care who won. From an in-ring standpoint, this was solid with everyone getting some time to do their thing. The babyfaces got a measure of revenge on the heels, so we'll see if this was designed to be the blow-off or if there will be more matches to come. NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions The King Bees Addressed Kylie Paige and NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie PaigeThe Paige sisters put The King Bees on notice last week by announcing their intentions to hold more gold and capture the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship (which they've won before but not with each other). I liked that The King Bees had a chance to respond here, though they made it pretty obvious in the main event by specifically addressing the Paige sisters. Nonetheless, this was simple yet effective mic work from the champs. Ella Envy def. Missa KateSimilar to Joe Alonzo, I thought it was reported earlier in the summer that Kate didn't re-sign with the NWA? Either this was taped a while ago or she's just working on a per-appearance deal. Regardless, she and Envy had a decent match. Envy has been losing a lot as of late, so this was a necessary victory for her, especially if Kate is apparently on her way out (or maybe not, who knows). Kylie Paige and NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige def. Reka Tehaka and Tiffany NievesThe renewed focus on the women's tag team scene in the last month has been cool to see. In fact, it feels like the tag titles have gotten more attention and storyline build than the NWA World Women's Championship and NWA Women's Television Championship pictures. This was a good main event. It wasn't officially billed as a number one contender's match, but you have to imagine the Paige sisters are getting the next shot at the tag titles. Overall ShowThe ladies received a ton of time this week, which made for a quality show on the whole. Not every match served a purpose, mind you, but I appreciated that the the main event and the six-man tag team match were built up last week. Powerrr would benefit from there being more direction across the card, but at least it's clear what matches we'll soon be getting for the NWA World Tag Team Championship and the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship.
