The Immortals def. DCVCThe Immortals again came close to winning the Crockett Cup this year and even beat Blunt Force Trauma in the semifinals, so you'd think they'd be focusing on going after the NWA World Tag Team Championship. This win gets them closer to contention, but I don't believe they made mention of the titles during their post-match interview. This was a hard-hitting affair and as someone not familiar with DCVC, I thought they did fine. Eric Smalls and Knox and Murdoch Addressed Aron StevensWhy are Smalls and Knox and Murdoch still feuding with Stevens? I thought that rivalry was wrapped up that rivalry a while ago? I guess not, but I simply don't care enough to remember. All three guys took turns talking about Stevens here, ending with Smalls seemingly throwing out a challenge to Stevens. Here's hoping they do the match soon so we can get it over with and move on. Colby Corino def. Alex MiseryThis was billed as a grudge match. These are two of the better workers on the NWA roster right now, so unsurprisingly, this was a very good, nicely-paced match. Corino picking up the decisive win indicates his bad blood with Misery is over, but where does he go from here? He's been at the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship level for so long that I'd like to see him chasing either the NWA National Championship or the NWA Television Championship in the foreseeable future. Honestly, he's overdue. NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions The King Bees Addressed NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie PaigeApparently Paige at one point expressed interest in challenging for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship and becoming a double champion (I have no recollection of that whatsoever), so King Bees said they were ready for a fight. That was pretty much it. Now that Paige is no longer a member of Pretty Empowered, I'm curious who she'd find to be her partner. NWA JCP Southeastern Tag Team Champions The Stew Crew def. The Miserably Faithful (Sal Vation and Gaagz the Gymp)For the past year, the NWA has been working with other "territories" and Joe Cazana Promotions (JCP) is one of them, hence why their tag titles were defended here on Powerrr. Stew Crew have appeared on Powerrr before and it was smart to establish them as a credible tandem with a win here over two NWA regulars. The match was perfectly passable in the time they were allotted. Mims def. ZyonThis was a rematch from not too long ago where Zyon beat Mims. I was disappointed in that outcome, so I'm glad Mims was able to avenge that loss here. There's no need for a rubber match, though. I still find Zyon to be incredibly boring and his pairing with Austin Idol hasn't made him the least bit interesting, but to his credit, this was a solid main event with him and Mims. Overall ShowFor a show that was around 40 minutes long, they managed to fit a lot of stuff in. That didn't necessarily make it a better show, but this was a decent edition of Powerrr on the whole with Corino vs. Misery easily being the biggest highlight from an in-ring standpoint. I also appreciated that they furthered several storylines with the quick interview segments, even if I'm not super invested in all of them.
