The Slime Ballz def. Kerry Morton to Win the NWA United States Tag Team ChampionshipAlex Taylor was apparently not medically cleared, but Joe Cazana (the NWA president in storyline) insisted that the match happen, anyway. Although that gave Slime Ballz the advantage, we've seen them lose Handicap matches before, so the outcome wasn't obvious. The match was well worked and the title change did surprise me since Slime Ballz have never been positioned too strongly. Maybe getting the tag titles will change that, but time will tell. Da Pope Addressed MimsI feel like it was a while ago that Pope cost Mims the NWA National Championship, so I'm glad that feud hasn't been dropped. Mims can ultimately be elevated by it if he goes over when they eventually face each other. It helps that Pope is so skilled on the mic and is building interest in the feud with his promos. This was the usual quality mic work from him, but I figured Mims would show up to either respond or attack him in an attempt to get revenge. AJ Cazana def. Tommy Henry in a No Limits MatchThis was another one of those "battle of the territories" type of matches, and while that's never been something I've been invested in personally, the vignettes that air in between the matches on Powerrr help give this stuff context. The match itself was fine considering Henry isn't a regular on the roster. It lasted a little longer than it needed to, but it wasn't egregiously awful or anything like that. Thom Latimer def. Trevor Murdoch in an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Match (Eric Smalls Served as Special Guest Referee)As I mentioned at the time, the segment from a few weeks ago that set this match up was really well done and made this match much more meaningful than it would have been otherwise, especially with Murdoch mentioning that Latimer had never beaten him before (until now, that is). This was a solid main event with Latimer's win earning him a rematch with Silas Mason for the title. Overall ShowThis was definitely an improvement over last week's episode with the NWA United States Tag Team Championship changing hands and Latimer becoming the new number one contender to the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The No-Limits match was whatever, but I liked Pope's promo, so I'd say it was a slightly-above-average edition of Powerrr on the whole.
