NWA Women's Television Champion Tiffany Nieves and Gretta def. Pretty Empowered by Disqualification (New NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions Were Not Decided)TVMA had to vacate the women's tag titles (I believe due to an injury to Miss Starr), so Nieves found a new partner in Gretta to go back after the belts against a pair of former champs in Kenzie and Kylie Paige. To not hear from Kenzie after her two-year run as NWA World Women's Champion was just ended was weird, but it looks like she and Kylie are going to be teasing tension going forward (which has already been the case in all of the vignettes that have been airing with them). This was a decent match, but ending in a match for vacant tag titles in disqualification so new champs couldn't be crowned was lame. NWA National Champion Mike Mondo def. The WallWall won a Gauntlet match at the NWA 77 taping to become the number one contender to the NWA National Championship. The name suits him well because he's a big dude. I wish we got to know more about him beforehand so he felt like a bigger threat to the title, but I thought he had a solid showing, nonetheless. I like the idea of Mondo being a fighting champion, even as a heel. The Lost (Alex Misery and Lev) def. Duke Hanson and SlexHanson is the former Duke Hudson from WWE NXT. I'm shocked he hasn't been signed anywhere because the dude has a lot of untapped potential. It sucked to see him in an enhancement role here, but I was happy to see him appear at all. He and Slex could make for a fun duo if they continue to team up, but this felt like it was solely designed to give The Lost a momentum-building win. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason def. JACAs an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship main event, it was logical for this to be hyped up throughout the show, so I was surprised it ended up being so short. Then again, I have no issue with establishing Mason as a dominant champ in his first title defense, especially since JAC isn't an official member of the roster. The show ended abruptly without any tease or indication what's next for Mason. Overall ShowMuch like last week, we got three title matches and that's always a plus. However, this was a slightly weaker show since none of the matches stood out and the finish to the opener was awful. It was a perfectly acceptable episode on the whole and I appreciate having matches with something at stake, but nothing is worth seeking out. Oddly, they didn't run down the matches for next week's show at the end as they usually do.
