Haley J def. Sirena VeilHaley was feuding with Kenzie Paige over the NWA Women's World Championship when we last saw her in the NWA a year or so ago, but it looks like she's back for another run. She and Veil had a passable bout and Haley winning was expected since she's the bigger name of the two. Perhaps she'll challenge for the title again now that Natalia Markova has it. The Good Brothers def. The Hard WayIt will never not be impressive to me with the way Good Brothers have always found a way to fall upward in wrestling. They were one of wrestling's top tag teams a decade ago, but their in-ring work has regressed quite a bit and they haven't been relevant in years. Despite that, they pop up pretty much everywhere. This was a solid showcase for them and they'll be a decent addition to the tag team division if they stick around. Nightmare Syn def. Hunter and Tyler Franks in an Empty Arena MatchI'm not really sure why this had to be an Empty Arena match. I'm all for the NWA doing more gimmick matches since we don't see them as often as we do in other promotions, but it didn't fit here. The match itself largely sucked and it didn't help having no fans in attendance. Nightmare Syn winning made the most sense, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this. Matt Cardona def. Daisy KillIt was cool to get Cardona back in the NWA, especially coming off his recent appearances in WWE and also while he's still working with TNA. However, it was weird he was back in heel mode here against an established heel in Kill. I think the idea was to put over Kill in defeat with him kicking out of Cardona's finisher, but it didn't come off well since this was booked like a glorified squash for Cardona. The post-match segment with Cardona calling out Billy Corgan and demanding a rematch for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship was also awkward, but I guess it will happen since Corgan accepted his request. Overall ShowThis edition of Powerrr kicked off the matches taped at the Samhain event from October, so the next string of shows should be somewhat notable. That was the case here with Good Brothers debuting and Cardona and Haley returning. We'll see where they all go from here, but at least they all went over in their respective matches. The Empty Arena match was the weakest part of the episode, but everything else was acceptable. Next week, Wrecking Ball Legursky will challenge Mike Mondo for the NWA National Championship and The Lost will face The Drakes and Aron Stevens in a Casket match.
