The Drakes def. Rewind SocietyCarson Bartholomew Drake teamed up with his "cousin" Lockjaw Drake with Aron Stevens in their corner. They're another nice addition to the tag team ranks if this is designed to be a permanent pairing. I dig Rewind Society's vibe, but this was all about The Drakes and establishing them as a dominant duo. Colby Corino chased them off afterward, leading to him cutting a promo coming out of the commercial break. Colby Corino Addressed the AudienceCorino has been out with a pretty serious injury for several months now, though he's been updating viewers on his status and telling his story in a series of vignettes for a while now. I didn't think he'd be back in front of the crowd so soon, but I assume his return to the ring isn't imminent. He not only put Carson on notice but also made it clear he's coming for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. This was good stuff. Hunter def. KC Cazana in a No Disqualification MatchHunter has largely been portrayed as a goof, so there was no reason to think he had a chance of winning here. The No Disqualification stipulation allowed her fiancé Kenzie Paige to get involved and aid him to victory. The match prior to that point was fine albeit slightly more competitive than I would have expected. This played into the battle of the territories, but that's not something I particularly care about. NWA World Women's Champion Natalia Markova def. Sirena VeilWasn't Markova advertised as defending the NWA World Women's Championship against Max the Impaler on this show? I assume it was explained why it didn't happen, but I must have missed it. Veil made more sense as a challenger this early in Markova's reign considering she could easily take the loss, and the match was well worked while it lasted. Someone from JCP attacked Markova afterward, and although I didn't catch her name, I recognized her from when she was on Powerrr not too long ago. Overall ShowThis edition of Powerrr felt like a slight step back from what we've been getting in recent weeks, especially with most of the matches feeling inconsequential. It was cool to see Corino make an appearance, but the rest of the show wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and even the main event was changed. There was some storyline-significant stuff in the vignettes that aired in between the matches, but nothing that piqued my personal interest.
