NWA Television Champion Bryan Idol def. CarnageIdol's title defenses tend to be random, but to be fair, that's been the case with most Television champs in recent years as they're trying to rack up seven successful defenses so they can cash it in for a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. This was another one for Idol and that's probably the only reason why it existed. This was perfectly fine while it lasted. Th Hex def. TVMA to Win the NWA World Women's Tag Team ChampionshipTVMA have been fighting champs over the last few months, so it was a big moment for them to finally be dethroned here, not to mention it was the inaugural champs The Hex who did it. The match was well worked and new champs being crowned is a nice change of pace for the division. Post-match, Tiffany Nieves turned on Valentina Rossi, so it appears TVMA with the two of them is no more (though it could continue with Nieves and the other women in her entourage). Carson Bartholomew Drake def. Alex Misery in a No Limits MatchIt feels like the NWA has been doing a number of No Limits matches as of late and I'm not sure what purpose this one was supposed to serve. It's not like Drake is having a heated rivalry with The Lost and the match was too short to be anything out of the ordinary. They utilized the stipulation a little bit by incorporating some weapons, but not to the point where it was necessary. NWA World Women's Champion Natalia Markova def. Gisele ShawShaw was in TNA for a number of years but left the promotion about a year ago. She was just starting to find her footing right before her departure, so it was cool to see her pop in the NWA here for a title shot, much like Shotzi Blackheart did last month. Although I never bought into the possibility of Shaw actually taking the title, I thought they had a solid match. NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Slime Ballz def. The Country Gentlemen (AJ and CJ Cazana)Slime Ballz are in a strange spot because they're aligned with Aron Stevens' heel stable yet are routinely portrayed as underdogs in their matches. Country Gentleman are also a heel team, so the dynamic wasn't ideal here, but it turned out to be an average outing. This was probably the most unpredictable match on the show because Slime Ballz could realistically drop the belts at any time. Overall ShowThe four title matches made for an eventful edition of Powerrr, especially with one of the championships changing hands. There weren't any standout matches, but when is there ever? I'll take a show like this where every match feels somewhat important than a show with a bunch of random matches that don't matter. This was a good effort on the whole.
