NWA Powerrr Review - February 11, 2025

NWA World Tag Team Champions Knox and Murdoch def. Daisy Kill and Talos

Kill and Talos have turned into a nice team over the last year or so and I thought that was especially evident during this outing. The same can be said for Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch as well, so this was a good opener. They didn't get a ton of time, but they didn't need to. It was fairly straightforward stuff and exactly what it needed to be. I'm not sure who's left for Knox and Murdoch to defend against that they haven't already beaten.

Colby Corino def. Kerry Morton in a No Limits Match

This was basically a No Disqualification match with a different name. They certainly made the most of the stipulation and had a really fun match. This served as the culmination to their feud over the last few months, so Corino was the correct winner. I wasn't fond of the matchup being restarted toward the end as I didn't think it was necessary, but the finishing sequence was cool.

On a side note, I knew that Max the Impaler relinquished the NWA Women's Television Championship many months ago, but I don't remember Mama's title win ever airing on Powerrr. Nonetheless, Kylie Paige was supposed to team with Mama but was replaced with Kenzie Paige right beforehand. We've seen Pretty Empowered work with The It Girls a bunch, but the match was decent and the title change was notable. Now Paige and Mama have all the women's gold in the NWA.

Overall Show

Much like last week, this was a thumbs-up edition of Powerrr. It was bookended by two title matches (including one of those championships changing hands) and the match in the middle was the best of the bunch. There weren't any promos, but all three matches mattered and that's all you can ask for sometimes from this show. The best episodes of Powerrr are the ones that feel focused and that's usually the case when they come from special event tapings like Looks That Kill.
