Damien Fenrir def. Alex TaylorI believe these two have faced off before with the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship on the line. I figured it would be another win for Taylor, so Fenrir winning instead was a pleasant surprise. Based on Taylor's post-match promo, they're clearly telling a story with him being down on his luck, so we'll see where it leads. The match itself was fine yet nothing out of the ordinary. Kerry Morton def. Daisy KillThis was an open challenge from Kill. Morton answering it was interesting because they're both heels, unless the idea is for Morton to go babyface. Then again, he's a member of The Southern Six and there's been zero indication the other members are babyface, so who the hell knows. Regardless, it was a nice match despite being on the shorter side. A comment was made about Kill being without a tag team partner now, so I'm curious if that's permanent or just temporary. Wrestling Machines def. JAC and Wrecking Ball LegurskyWrestling Machines is apparently the new team name for Mike Mondo and Spencer Slade. It makes them feel more like a cohesive unit, so I like it. Legursky said beforehand that this was basically his attempt to reform The Fixers (with a new partner) and he obviously wasn't successful, but I appreciated that this had something of a story to it. Plus, this win for Wrestling Machines keeps their momentum going. Trevor Murdoch def. Tyler StevensStevens has been getting more screen time on Powerrr (albeit not consistently), so this was a good chance for him to impress against one of the most seasoned stars on the NWA's current roster. I thought he had a solid showing before eating defeat. Pretty Boy Smooth attacked him afterward, but I'm not sure if we'll get The Holy Grail vs. Knox and Murdoch before EC3 leaves the company (this may have been his final in-person appearance, but time will tell). NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason def. Thom LatimerThis was Mason and Latimer's long-awaited rematch, yet it didn't feel remotely as important as it should have. Granted, I wasn't overly excited for it to begin with, but it didn't help that the commercial break ate up a significant chunk of time and that the finish came out of nowhere. What we got wasn't bad any means, but it never reached that next gear for me, which was disappointing for a world title match. Overall ShowThis felt like a very wrestling-heavy show, at least by Powerrr standards. The main event didn't live up to the hype in my opinion, but the four matches were well worked and weren't total throwaway from a storyline standpoint. It was a thumbs-up episode on the whole. Natalia Markova and Gisele Shaw vs. Tiffany Nieves and Gretta was advertised for next week.
