NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason and Thom Latimer BrawledThis was a logical way to follow up on Mason successfully defending the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Matt Cardona, who prevented Latimer from getting the shot. They redirected their focus back to the feud between Mason and Latimer here, setting the stage for the rematch that I don't have a ton of interest in seeing. That said, I realize they have to get it over with eventually. Mims def. El Dragon NihanNihan picked up the surprise victory the last time these two went one-on-one. This was another hard-hitting affair between them, but it was more about the finish than it was the action itself. Da Pope getting involved in helping Mims beat Nihan was certainly a twist seeing as how Mims and Pope have been at odds for months now. I'm curious where that's going and if Pope is playing mind games with Mims or if they're headed for an alliance. Sirena Veil and Vipress def. Haley J and Rachel LeyWe heard from Haley and Ley backstage beforehand, and considering Veil and Vipress didn't get a televised entrance, I assumed it would be an easy win for Haley and Ley. Well, apparently not, and it looks like that was the point. The match was fine, but they're apparently telling a story with Haley getting too cocky and coming up short here. That said, it'd be nice if this led to Veil and Vipress getting a shot at the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship. Pretty Boy Smooth def. Cristiano ArgentoYou can tell this is from an old taping because EC3 announced his departure from the NWA at the beginning of the year on social media, yet he's still appearing on Powerrr. Hopefully his exit is explained with Smooth attacking him or whatever, but I'm expecting him to just disappear one week and not be acknowledged again. Nonetheless, this was a pretty straightforward showcase for Smooth. Kyle Davis Interviewed Colby CorinoWe keep getting Corino in interview segments, but nothing of note seems to stem from them. He got interrupted the last time he was on Powerrr and may have gotten physical, but he was back to cutting a basic promo here and not doing anything else. I like Corino and am looking forward to him getting back in the ring soon, but I wouldn't overexpose him too much before he's cleared because it could take away from his official return. Herra and Teal Piper def. Pretty EmpoweredThis essentially followed the same formula as the women's tag team match from earlier in that Pretty Empowered were too overconfident and it cost them the win against an unknown team. It was an average outing, but as I mentioned, I would use this as an opportunity to start building up some new teams in the women's tag division. We'll see if this leads to Pretty Empowered teasing tension at all. NWA World Tag Team Champions The Immortals def. NWA Chicago Tag Team Champions The Hard Way (NWA Chicago Tag Team Championship Was Not Defended)No background info was given on Hard Way. I remember them from the last time they were on Powerrr, but I couldn't tell you when that was or anything else about them, so this felt rather random. It was a well-worked main event despite the outcome never being in doubt. The Immortals being fighting champions has been good to see, but they'll need actual competition and more fresh faces to defend against in order to remain relevant. Overall ShowThe "pay-per-view" portion of Powerrr is obviously over because this was one of those episodes where they threw a ton of stuff at the wall to see what stuck. As a result, nothing really stood out or got the time to breathe. There were some storyline developments with the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship scene as well as with Mims and Pope, so the episode wasn't completely inconsequential.
