Colby Corino and Joe Ocasio def. Magic Jake Dumas and ZyonI'm not sure what the reasoning behind this bout was, but that seems to be the case with most matches on Powerrr these days (unless it's one of the tapings from the special events they do), so I don't know why I bother questioning it. Nonetheless, this was a well-worked tag team match. I assumed Ocasio would take the loss for his team, so Corino picking up the win for them was a pleasant surprise. Dumas and Zyon can blame their loss on Austin Idol not being at ringside. Natalia Markova vs. Tiffany Nieves Ended in a Double Count-OutThis match made more sense than the opener given the bad blood between these two as of late. Speaking of which, I liked that they worked with intensity right out of the gate. This was going well up until the double count-out, which I was fine with if they're going to continue feuding. Nieves made Markova bleed during their post-match brawl, so hopefully the inevitable rematch has some sort of a stipulation. Baron Von Storm and Jax Dane def. BLK Jeez and NWA National Champion MimsAs I mentioned a few weeks ago, Jax Dane sadly passed away unexpectedly around Christmas. I don't know if this was the last match he ever had prior to his passing, but it was advertised as a "never-before-seen" match. Technically, both could be true. Either way, this was a solid stuff and it's cool that Dane got to go out with a win (even though it was Storm who won for their team). Perhaps Storm now chases the NWA National Championship in his honor? The Immortals Attacked Daisy Kill and TalosKill was being interviewed by Kyle Davis and discussing being next in line for a tag title opportunity (that's for the NWA World Tag Team Championship and not the NWA United States Tag Team Championship, right?) when he was quickly interrupted by The Immortals. That exchange broke out into a brief brawl where Kill and Talos walked off. I appreciated that this was kept short and sweet. Kerry Morton def. Connor "Hazard" MurphyI have no idea what The Southern Six are up to now following their short-lived storyline with Corino, especially since it looks like they're treading water in random squashes such as this. This was perfectly passable, but I don't know that it really accomplished anything other than giving Morton a meaningless victory. It's possible he's being built up for something, but it's more likely he's just directionless and this was merely designed to kill time. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Thom Latimer def. Tyler Franks (Non-Title)While it was weird for a standard showcase match to be positioned as the main event, I suppose it was logical with Latimer being the Worlds Heavyweight champ. Franks scored a bit more offense than I figured he would, but otherwise, this was a pretty basic bout. You'd think we would've at least heard from Latimer before he faces EC3 in their upcoming rematch inside of a steel cage. Overall ShowThis was certainly a show that existed. That might be the best way to describe it in a nutshell. Granted, some feuds were furthered and that's better than every match and segment serving no purpose, but there's still enough filler on these shows that regularly makes me question why I'm still keeping up with the NWA. I suppose it's out of habit. Regardless, it was an acceptable episode. I just wish there was more stuff that mattered.
