NWA World Tag Team Champions The Immortals def. Blunt Force Trauma

I don't know how many matches these teams have had exactly over the years, but it feels like we've seen it no less than a thousand times. Although the NWA has brought in a handful of teams, the division still lacks depth with the main title scene featuring a lot of the same names. This was a hard-hitting affair and The Immortals retaining the titles was obviously the correct call.

NWA World Women's Champion Natalia Markova def. Shotzi Blackheart

Blackheart has made a few appearances in MLW since being released from WWE last year and it's cool she popping up in the NWA, too. Her getting a shot at the NWA World Women's Championship out of the gate tells me she isn't sticking around, but I'd like to be wrong. They had a well-worked match and Markova gets a nice credibility boost from beating her.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason def. Matt Cardona in a Peach Tree Street Fight

Mason was originally scheduled to defend against former champ Thom Latimer on this show, but Matt Cardona attacked Latimer on his way to the ring and took his spot. I'm actually glad he got his long-awaited rematch because now that he's back in WWE (this was taped months ago), it had to happen here. It was basically an overbooked Street Fight, which may have been because both guys are heels, but I enjoyed it for what it was despite the shenanigans.

Overall Show

By NWA standards, this was a stacked show with three title matches and some star power to boot with Cardona and Blackheart being in action. I wouldn't go so far as to say any of them were necessarily barn burners, but they were all decent matches and I had no issue with the main event being changed at the last minute (especially since I assume we'll get Mason vs. Latimer again eventually).
