Kerry Morton def. Damian FenrirMorton just lost the NWA United States Tag Team Championship for The Southern Six, so this felt like it existed to get him back on track. Fenrir has been impressive any time I've seen him in action on Powerrr but has yet to pick up an important victory. I didn't think this would be where it would happen, but at least he was able to score some offense before inevitably eating defeat. El Dragon Nihan def. MimsNihan has been on a handful of NWA shows in the last few months and I can't remember a single match he's won until now, so this was a necessary victory for him. Granted, I didn't want him beating Mims clean (why not have Da Pope get involved and cost Mims the win?), but it was a credibility boost for Nihan, nonetheless. They had a pretty good hoss fight here and made the most of the time they had. The Lost (Alex Misery, Lev and Gaagz the Gymp) def. Aron Stevens and The Drakes in a Casket MatchA tag team Casket match sounded like a disaster on paper, but this was surprisingly decent and the crowd had fun with it. They kept things interesting throughout and The Drakes and Stevens were nice foils for The Lost (who apparently are babyfaces now?). Stevens rarely wrestles these days, but he played his role well here and it made sense for him and The Drakes to get their comeuppance. NWA National Champion Mike Mondo def. Wrecking Ball LegurskyMondo might end up being one of the best National champs NWA has had in a while if Mondo continues to defend it as regularly as he has been. Maybe he hasn't, but it certainly feels like he has. You wouldn't expect that sort of thing from a heel, but I'm not complaining. I wasn't sure how well these two would work together, but I actually thought they had a solid, physical affair. Mondo retaining the title was the right call, but Legursky scored plenty of offense prior to that point. Overall ShowThe first two matches felt inconsequential but were well worked. The latter two matches had some storyline stakes and exceeded my expectations, so this was a thumbs-up edition of Powerrr on the whole. Next week, Hammerstone will face Trevor Murdoch and Pretty Empowered will take on The Country Gentlemen in what's being billed as "War of the Territories".
