Kyle Davis Interviewed NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion Miss Starr; NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion Ella Envy vs. Two Local Athletes in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match Ended in a No ContestStarr's interview with Davis was all about giving Envy her flowers and the Handicap match immediately followed. I couldn't catch the names of Envy's opponents, but they're from what's basically the NWA's designated developmental territory FTW. The smaller woman was the one who Tiffany Nieves attacked during her recent NWA World Women's Championship match against Kenzie Paige, which is why Nieves and Natalia Markova got involved here. This was a total mess and I'm not really sure why it existed. Kyle Davis Interviewed The ColonsThe Colons made their NWA debut several weeks back. As I said then, their experience alone makes them a nice addition to a depleted tag team division. Although this was a basic heel promo, I appreciated that we got to hear from them before they faced The Immortals later on as they established that they're in the NWA for gold. It was exactly what it needed to be. NWA World Tag Team Champions Knox and Murdoch def. The SpectacularsThe Spectaculars consist of Spencer Slade and Rolando Freeman at this point (that's more of a reminder to myself because I honestly didn't remember). I have no idea what Knox and Murdoch did to deserve a shot at the straps, but oh well. Despite Freeman not being a threat to Knox and Murdoch in the slightest, the match was decent and gave Knox and Murdoch a decisive victory. Kyle Davis Interviewed Aron StevensBlunt Force Trauma just failed to regain the NWA World Tag Team Champions from Knox and Murdoch, so this was a chance for their manager to get some heat back by insulting the crowd. I guess this was effective in that respect, but it wasn't very eventful otherwise. Thankfully, Stevens plays his role so well (and always has) that this was perfectly painless while it lasted. Mike Mondo def. BozYes, this is the same Mike Mondo from The Spirit Squad many years ago. I would've never known it was him if he went by a different name now. I thought he had a solid showing in his NWA debut and it was smart to not make this too competitive. Interestingly, he said during a pre-match promo that he was in the NWA for one person but didn't reveal them by name, so we'll see where that goes. The Immortals def. The Colons by DisqualificationI'm glad the tag team division is getting more attention, even though there's no need for NWA United States Tag Team Championship. The Immortals want gold again and The Colons want to be in the tag title picture, so this was a worthy main event and an adequate match. My biggest issue with it was the lame disqualification finish, though I assume that was done to protect both teams. Blunt Force Trauma then ran out to attack The Immortals. Why must we revisit that rivalry again? Overall ShowTechnically, EC3 vs. Josef Von Schmidt kicked off the show, but it was more a part of the opening video package as EC3 narrated over the highlights where he won with ease, so I didn't include it above. The rest of the show was serviceable. The Samhain tapings are over and done with and now it's back to normal for Powerrr. There wasn't anything seeking out from this show, but the arrivals of The Colons and Mondo do add some fresh (and I use that term loosely because they've been around for decades) blood to the mix.
