NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions The King Bees def. Tiffany Nieves and Reka TehakaIt's been nice to get an actual story in the NWA's women's tag team division for the first time in a long time. Granted, it hasn't been much of a story, but Nieves and Tehaka did have to win a number one contender's match to earn this opportunity. It was a largely well-worked match and a good win for The King Bees. That said, unless we get a rematch between these teams, I don't know who The King Bees defend against next. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 def. Sam AdonisAdonis has never made it big time in wrestling, but he's impressed me any time I've seen him in action. His charisma helps him stand out and he's decent enough in the ring. It's a shame we didn't get more interaction between these two coming into this contest, though. It was partially what hurt Adonis' chances of becoming champion. This was solid, but much like EC3's other defenses, there wasn't much about it that was out of the ordinary. The Southern Six (Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor) def. The Immortals in the Finals of the Crockett CupI'm glad it came down to these teams in the finals because either of them could have realistically won, especially with The Immortals beating Blunt Force Trauma in the semifinals last week. They were given plenty of time and had a pretty enjoyable outing. Southern Six pulled out all the stops in order to steal the win and were ultimately successful. I'd prefer to see them as NWA World Tag Team Champions over Blunt Force Trauma, but do we get a heel vs. heel match for the belts? I think a three-way tag match would make the most sense given The Immortals own a win over the champs. Overall ShowThis was obviously the last of the Crockett Cup shows and it was the most eventful of the bunch with two title matches and the finals of the Crockett Cup. Neither of the championships changed hands and the matches weren't the greatest, but everything was at least serviceable and it was smart to close with the Crockett Cup finals. On the whole, this was a thumbs-up episode and I'm curious to see what the fallout from these Crockett Cup shows will be.
