NWA World Tag Team Champions Blunt Force Trauma def. The Heavenly Butterflies (Non-Title)I believe we've seen Heavenly Butterflies on Powerrr before, but I'm glad they weren't made to look competitive with Blunt Force Trauma. Instead, this was a straightforward squash for the champs and it was thankfully only a few minutes long. This served as a rebound win for them after they were beaten by The Immortals two weeks ago in the Crockett Cup semifinals. I know The Southern Six beat The Immortals in the finals, but The Immortals should still be considered for a shot as well. NWA National Champion Thom Latimer vs. Kerry Morton Ended in a Time-Limit DrawThis felt random because, as noted, Southern Six won the Crockett Cup last week, so you'd think their focus would be on dominating the tag team ranks and chasing the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Morton was featured in the National title picture for a change, but this did come out of nowhere. They had a quality contest, but the time-limit draw was lame because the NWA has gone to that well quite a bit over the years. NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige def. Missa KateI thought Kate left the NWA recently when her contract expired (or whatever the situation was), but it's possible that this was taped before that. Speaking of contracts, I also saw Paige signed an exclusive deal with the NWA within the last week or two, so it looks like the NWA is making the right call by continuing to build the women's division around Paige. These two had a well-worked match, so if this was it for Kate in the NWA, she looked good on her way out. Daisy Kill and Talos Addressed The FixersThis was a very short segment with Kyle Davis interviewing Kill and Talos about their upcoming match with The Fixers, who they have history with over the NWA United States Tag Team Championship. It accomplished what it needed to. I'm surprised The Fixers are still doing the tag team thing with Legursky challenging for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in the main event right after this. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 def. Wrecking Ball LegurskyAs a programming note, I had an issue finishing the last two minutes of this show on The CW's website (it kept turning off and going to something else), so I managed to finish it on The CW app. EC3 once again played the underdog role and it was a solid work. The outcome was never in doubt, mind you, but I've been following Legursky's work in the northeast independent wrestling scene for a long time and I was happy to see him get an opportunity at the top title here to show what he can do. Overall ShowThe Crockett Cup string of shows wrapped up last week and they wasted no time in following up with a stacked episode featuring three title matches. Granted, none of the titles were in serious jeopardy of changing hands, but all three matches were enjoyable for what they were. Plus, Blunt Force Trauma got back on track with a quick-and-painless squash and Kill and Talos hyped up an upcoming match with The Fixers, so this was easily a thumbs-up edition of Powerrr.
