NWA Powerrr Review - June 13, 2026

Carson Bartholomew Drake def. Tyler Franks

It's worth noting that Drake has racking up wins as of late, so it feels like he's building a case for why he should be in contention for a championship soon. Granted, a win over Franks doesn't mean much, but it's at least a step in the right direction for Drake. It was a fairly average outing, but it was smart to keep it on the shorter side and to have Drake go over decisively.

Kyle Davis Interviewed Kerry Morton

Morton finally had a chance to explain his betrayal of Silas Mason, and he said his dad Ricky Morton factored heavily into his decision to start looking out for himself. He also mentioned that he felt it was "best for business." He delivered his promo well and I'm glad we're getting some progression in his program with Mason. Does this mean Morton will start being managed by his dad full-time again going forward?

Damian Fenrir def. Bonez

Fenrir is one of those guys that has occasionally gotten some shine on the show but rarely seems to be involved in anything of note. I appreciate that he wins his fair share of matches, but it'd be nice to hear him get mic time once in a while. This was forgettable other than Fenrir botching that dive to the outside. It didn't look good at all, but he appeared to be all right afterward.

Thom Latimer def. Cristiano Argento

Argento has a great look to him, but he hasn't won enough matches in order to be taken seriously. That didn't change here, but I did think he had a solid showing before losing to Latimer. The match was pretty much what it needed to be. Despite Latimer competing on his own, it looks like he and El Dragon Nihan will be continuing to team for the foreseeable future.

Pretty Empowered def. Clara Carter & Haley J and The Hex in a 3-Way Tag Team Match to Win the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship

I wish Carter and Haley J had been established as a tandem beforehand to explain why they were teaming as well as why they would be getting a championship opportunity. That said, it quickly became clear that they were only involved to eat the loss and that's exactly what happened. It was a decent main event, but Pretty Empowered taking back the tag titles was obviously the focal point.

Overall Show

Outside of the women's tag titles changing hands in the main event, this show was definitely a step back compared to recent editions of Powerrr. Everything was largely serviceable (though Fenrir vs. Bonez wasn't exactly stellar), but there were more showcase matches than usual. That said, we did get a title change along with some development in the Southern Six storyline, so it could have been worse.
