NWA Powerrr Review - June 3, 2025

The Colons def. The Immortals, Daisy Kill & Talos, and Blunt Force Trauma in a Crockett Cup #2 Seed Qualifying Four-Way Tag Team Elimination Match

The NWA obviously doesn't have the deepest tag team division (I feel like I've seen every combination of these teams against each other a thousand times over), but this was a nice showcase of the few legitimate teams there are and I liked the addition of the elimination stipulation. It made the match more meaningful and The Colons winning was the right call to give them a much-needed momentum boost ahead of the tournament.

Crazzy Steve def. Damian Fenrir

I haven't seen Steve since he left TNA a while ago, so it was cool to see him again here. He should be a fine fit for the NWA, assuming he sticks around. This felt like a glorified showcase for him in what I believe was his NWA debut, so it was decent while it lasted. I can totally see him mixing it up with Alex Misery and that crew given how similar their gimmicks are.

​NWA National Champion Mims def. Wrecking Ball Legursky

I'm glad the NWA National Championship was spotlighted in the main event for a change. Legursky is doing well on his own and I thought he had quality chemistry with Mims here in what was a solid main event. The ending with Jay Bradley costing Legursky the win was a pleasant surprise as it cements the split of The Fixers and sets up a new feud.

Overall Show

All in all, this was a thumbs-up edition of Powerrr. The opener served as a successful preview of the upcoming Crockett Cup (the fact it had stakes helped), Steve won in his debut and the main event was significant, not only because the National title was on the line but also because of what happened at the end. This kicked off the Hard Times V taping, so apparently we won't be seeing the stuff from the Crockett Cup anytime soon.
