NWA Powerrr Review - June 6, 2026

By Graham "GSM" Matthews

Alex Misery def. Wrecking Ball Legursky, Daisy Kill, Lockjaw Drake and Jac in a 5-Way Match to Win the Vacant NWA Television Championship

The NWA has to do a better job with these multi-man matches because I feel like they're always rushed and never given enough time. This was fine, but even with the talent involved, it didn't last long enough to be much more than that. The finish was also slightly confusing because multiple people pinned Legursky, but Misery was the one who officially got the cover.

Carnage def. Mims

I thought this would be a chance for Mims to get back on track by knocking off a monster, especially after he got hyped up backstage by Da Pope last week, but apparently not. I'm not sure what the purpose is of building up Carnage on his own at this point. From an in-ring standpoint, this was a solid hoss fight, but I'm curious where this is headed for Mims because it felt like a step backward.

NWA United States Tag Team Champions The Slime Ballz def. Jack N' Eddie

We heard from Slime Ballz beforehand and they talked about wanting to give an opportunity to a newer team, hence why the NWA United States Tag Team Championship was on the line here despite Jack N' Eddie largely being utilized as enhancement talent. Nontheless, they had a nice match and Jack N' Eddie had a solid showing. The underdog gimmick has worked well for Slime Ballz, but they'll have to be beat by a better team eventually.

Gretta def. Natalia Markova by Disqualification

I believe this marked Gretta's first-ever singles match in the NWA. I can't say she was terribly impressive, but the match was decent and it helped that she had Markova as her opponent. My biggest issue was with the execution of the finish. Markova getting disqualified because Gretta acted as if Markova hit her with the title belt was stupid. At least TVMA stood tall to close the show after laying out Markova and Gisele Shaw.

Overall Show

Powerrr is bound to be a little less eventful now that the Crockett Cup tapings are behind us, but this was still a perfectly passable episode. We got a title defense, a number one contender's match, and a storyline-significant main event. Only Carnage vs. Mims seemed random, depending on where that's leading. The NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship will be defended in a three-way tag team matchup next week.
