NWA World Tag Team Champions The Immortals def. Jack and Eddie (Non-Title)Jack and Eddie were on Powerrr within the last few weeks, unsuccessfully challenging The Slime Ballz for the NWA United States Tag Team Championship. Needless to say, they were no threat to The Immortals, but this did serve as a straightforward showcase for The Immortals (outside of what looked like a botched finish). We also found out that, as you'd expect, The Immortals will be the number one seed in the Crockett Cup. Sins N' Grins def. Corey Hollis & Brady Pierce, Pretty City Express, and The Lost (Alex Misery and Gaagz the Gymp) in a Crockett Cup #16a Seed Qualifying Four-Way Tag Team MatchThis was apparently part of a mini tournament to determine who the number 16 seed in the Crockett Cup will be, so Sins N' Grins advanced. I'm surprised it wasn't The Lost, the only team involved who are actual regulars in the NWA, but I'm not complaining. It was a well-worked match, and even though I knew nothing about the other three teams, I thought they all had solid showings. Thankfully, we got to hear from Sins N' Grins in a backstage segment later on. Liviyah def. NWA Women's Television Champion Tiffany Nieves by DisqualificationThis was the NWA debut of Liviyah. Shotzi Blackheart and Gisele Shaw have popped up in the NWA recently, but fans are obviously familiar with them, so it would've helped if there was some sort of introduction to Liviyah before she challenged Nieves here. The match was decent, but Gretta running in for the disqualification finish was lame. We'll see if they revisit this or just move on. KC Cazana def. Jake CrossThe commentators noted how rare it was for a member of The Country Gentlemen to compete in singles competition. Apparently, there wasn't really a good reason for it, but at least it was what it needed to be in that it was short and sweet. Country Gentlemen staked their claim at the Crockett Cup afterward, so I guess this was just meant to hype that up and establish that they'll be in the running to take the trophy. NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason Confronted NWA Television Champion Bryan Idol and William Patrick CorganThe segment started out as a birthday celebration for Corgan, whose birthday is legitimately March 17th (even though this was presumably taped a while ago). It turned into Idol announcing that he is indeed trading in his TV title for a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. I thought both he and Mason cut quality promos recapping their history and hyping up their championship clash, whenever that ends up taking place. Hammerstone def. CarnageThis was basically built up as a hoss fight. It didn't have any other story, which is why I thought it was strange that it was saved for the main event slot. Nonetheless, almost anything involving Blunt Force Trauma doesn't ordinarily interest me, but this ended up being a serviceable bout. Hammerstone continuing to rack up wins should lead to him holding gold eventually. Overall ShowThis was the 250th edition of Powerrr. I'm glad that was acknowledged and made out to be a big deal. I still long for those early days of the show from late 2019, but Powerrr is infinitely better now than it was for several years post-pandemic. At any rate, this was an adequate episode on the whole with the focus firmly being on the Crockett Cup coming up. Kylie Page vs. Haley J and The Good Brothers taking part in Crockett Cup opening-round action were among the matches advertised for next week's episode.
