NWA Powerrr Review - October 28, 2025

King Bee Match: Spencer Slade, Damian Fenrir and Luke Kurtis def. The Lost (Crazzy Steve, Lev and Alex Misery); Fenrir def. Kurtis and Slade in an NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Three-Way Match

TNA has done a version of the NWA's new King Bee concept before where we get a multi-person tag team match and then the winners of that will immediately face each other. It wouldn't have made much sense for The Lost to be in the three-way, so Slade, Fenrir and Kurtis advancing instead was logical. Both bouts were well wrestled and had nice action. I was wondering following Fenrir's recent showcase win whether it would amount to anything and now we have our answer, even though I don't expect him to take the title from Alex Taylor.

Alexander Hammerstone def. NWA United States Tag Team Champion Kerry Morton

Hammerstone has been a great get for the NWA, specifically because he can provide the quality wrestling that the company usually lacks. This was another example of that as he and Morton had a very good match together in the time they were allotted. I don't know what this means for Hammerstone going forward, but I wouldn't at all mind if a title shot of some sort was in his future.

Carson Bartholomew Drake and Aron Stevens def. The Holy Grail

Holy Grail went decently far in the Crockett Cup, so I figured they'd be built up more for an eventual opportunity at the NWA World Tag Team Championship. That could still happen, but them losing here to the new duo of Drake and Stevens was surprising, especially with Stevens not being a regular wrestler at this point. The match wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but it did further the story they're trying to tell with them.

Overall Show

The main event was perfectly fine, but it was also the weakest match of the episode. I would have closed with Hammerstone vs. Morton despite it not having as much storyline support. All in all, this was a solid show as part of the NWA 77 taping. Tiffany Nieves vs. Sirena Veil for NWA Women's Television Championship and Mims vs. Mike Mondo for NWA National Championship were both announced for next week.
