The Immortals def. Blunt Force Trauma in a Liberty Bell BrawlThe stipulation stated that you had to ring the bell hanging above the ring three times in order to win. It was a pretty silly stipulation (they even seemed to botch the finish), but it was a fun, hard-hitting brawl otherwise. These teams have had plenty of matches together, but this one in particular was perhaps their best to date due to the lack of disqualifications and count-outs. It was basically a hoss fight and they kept things interesting throughout. Mims def. Carson Drake, Burchill and Bryan Idol in a Four-Way Elimination Match to Win the Vacant NWA National ChampionshipThom Latimer gave up the National title to challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, which he ended up winning from EC3 on last week's episode. That left the National title vacant. No qualifiers were held ahead of time, so I don't know what any of these four guys did to earn their spot in this match. What we got was fine, but it never really got to that next level, especially with BLK Jeez paying off Drake so Mims could pin him for the win. It was a classic heel manager move, but it made for a flat finish. Hey, at least Mims is a singles champion again. Hopefully this reign isn't as short as his reign with the NWA Television Championship. NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige def. NWA Television Champion Max the Impaler (NWA Television Championship Was Not Defended)If I have this correct, Max held both the men's and women's Television title simultaneously, but they decided to capitalize on the Lucky 7 Rule with the women's title and trade it in for an opportunity at the NWA World Women's Championship while still holding the men's Television title, which was not on the line here. Got all that? They've been protected extremely well over the last year, so this win for Paige meant something. This didn't last long, but I don't think it needed to. I enjoyed their dynamic and thought both women had solid showings. Overall ShowMuch like last week, this edition of Powerrr also aired on X/Twitter, which will continue to be the case at least for the next month. All in all, this was a good show and an improvement over last week's installment. Despite the stupid stipulation, the opener exceeded my expectations and the main event was solid. The four-way could've been better, but Mims becoming the new NWA National Champion was notable. I'm curious what the rest of the NWA 76 tapings have in store because it feels like the biggest stuff has already aired.
