Malakai Black def. Christopher DanielsI'll never complain about getting Black in singles competition because we went almost two years without seeing a singles match from him before recently. Despite being the total package in my opinion, Black has done a whole lot of nothing so far in AEW. I'd love to see him be the one to dethrone Adam Copeland as AEW TNT Champion, but I'm not optimistic. This would have been a cool feud a few years ago, but at least it made for a solid match here.

Dante Chen def. Drake MorreauxChen could be seen training with Chad Gable and Sami Zayn in the WWE Performance Center during that video package that aired on Monday's Raw. Good for him picking up a win here. Morreaux's performance was hardly memorable, so Chen winning was the right call. He's the perfect person to work with the newer talent and help them hone their skills. This actually exceeded my expectations.
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens Appeared on The KO Show Before Chasing After United States Champion Logan PaulI thought this would be where Owens and Orton finally teased tension heading into the United States Championship match at WrestleMania 40, but apparently not. Don't get me wrong, it's refreshing that two babyfaces aren't forcing an issue with each other just because they're both after a heel champion, but it did cause this segment to end anticlimactically with Orton and Owens fleeing the arena to find Paul in Lincoln Financial Field (the site of 'Mania) next door.
Zero Hour: The Premiere Athletes (Tony Nese, Josh Woods and Ari Daivari) def. Adam Priest, Tony Deppen and Rhett TitusI'm honestly shocked Premiere Athletes are still a thing, as it's been many months since we last saw them together. They do nothing for me, personally, and I can't take them seriously as a threat even in Ring of Honor. That said, this was designed to establish them as a dominant force, though it wasn't exactly successful considering it took them much longer than it should have to put away three enhancement guys.
