Michael Oku def. Rocky RomeroAEW tends to use Oku whenever they're overseas, and considering how over he was with this crowd, I can understand why. Romero never really wins anything of note, so the outcome was never in doubt here (despite Oku not being under any sort of a deal to AEW or Ring of Honor to my knowledge), but it was a well-wrestled outing, nonetheless. Plus, the crowd didn't seem to mind as they were behind Oku the entire time. Mark Davis def. Evil UnoUnlike Oku, Davis wasn't a fan favorite here, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise seeing as how he's from Australia, not the United Kingdom. This was the loudest I've heard a crowd for Uno in forever, so that made the match slightly more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. This was an average outing that gave Davis a much-needed win. I don't know why it would need to exist otherwise. Alex Windsor def. Nina SamuelsWindsor is another United Kingdom native, so I'm glad she made the card. As for Samuels, she was a regular in NXT UK for pretty much as long as the brand was around and she was released when the brand dissolved. She was always a good hand but never exceptional, so I thought she was a fine person to have in there to lose to Windsor. I'd still like to see more done with Windsor after her hot start in AEW over the summer. Lee Johnson def. Lio RushRush got his start in ROH nearly a decade ago, so this was a full circle moment for him being back on the brand. Granted, this was more about giving Johnson a win than showcasing Rush, but it was a quality contest, nonetheless. This reminded me that we haven't seen CRU in action in a while. Is Action Andretti injured or something? If so, I'd like to see Rush used more in his absence. Blake Christian def. AngelicoChristian stuck around after Angelico's match and issued an open challenge. Underwhelmingly, Angelico answered, but the crowd didn't seem to mind. Their match was completely serviceable and there technically wasn't anything wrong with it, but I fail to see how this win makes Christian feel like any sort of threat to the ROH World Championship. ROH Women's World Television Champion Red Velvet def. Session Moth Martina in an ROH Women's World Television Championship Proving Ground MatchI remember Martina from the time she spent in ROH years ago, and it made sense to have her make a one-off appearance with this episode emanating from the United Kingdom. There was a zero chance of Velvet losing after she just beat Mercedes Mone at Final Battle, but they had a well-worked match and Velvet maintained her momentum with the win. It's one thing to rack up wins, but the key is having her beat people who matter. Nigel McGuinness def. Wheeler YutaDoing two open challenges on the same show was an odd choice, but I'm not going to complain about getting an unannounced match from McGuinness. He's been back for a handful of matches since last year, but apparently this was his first ROH win since 2009. Yuta isn't a top talent by any means, but it was cool that McGuinness was able to beat someone who's featured fairly prominently on AEW TV as a member of The Death Riders. It was a nice bout to boot. Overall ShowROH TV always gets a bit of a boost whenever they tape content overseas thanks to the lively atmosphere the crowds provide. This edition was a prime example of that with McGuinness unexpectedly wrestling in the main event and bunch of other U.K. wrestlers competing. None of the matches stood out in a major way, but on the whole, it was an entertaining episode by ROH TV standards.
