Johnny TV and MxM Collection def. Ryan Matthews, Jordan Kross and Drake DanielsMxM Collection are still in possession of one of the ROH World Tag Team Championship belts, but I like that their focus has shifted to the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship instead. We've already seen MxM Collection unsuccessfully challenge The Sons of Texas, but it makes sense for them and Johnny to get an opportunity at the six-man tag titles soon, possibly at Supercard of Honor. This served as a showcase for the heels to give them a win. Marina Shafir def. Nixi XSI realize she took part in that intergender tag team match on Dynamite a week ago, but before this, Shafir hadn't actually had a singles match in either AEW or Ring of Honor since last summer. She's never been great in the ring, so honestly, I'm not complaining (plus, she continues to get reps on the independent scene). She made short work of XS here, so this thankfully didn't overstay its welcome. Tomohiro Ishii def. Preston VanceIshii recently randomly resurfaced for a match on AEW TV, so it's hardly surprising that he stuck around for a match on the ROH TV tapings. Vance scored more offense than I thought he would, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. He's being wasted as a member of The Frat House, but it felt like Tony Khan gave up on him years ago. This was a well-worked match for the time it was allotted. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Von Erichs and ROH World Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes def. Dominic Garrini, Kevin Ku and Davey Bang (Non-Title)I'm glad The Von Erichs are back on ROH TV after what felt like a lengthy absence. Hopefully they're here to stay and actually appear regularly again. Otherwise, they may as well drop the belts to Johnny and MxM Collection (who they called out for next week's episode). This was basically a repeat of what we got in the opener, but the crowd was very much behind the babyfaces throughout. ROH World Champion Bandido def. Jay Lethal in an ROH World Championship Proving Ground MatchThe fact this had a 10-minute time limit was criminal. Yes, I understand that Proving Ground matches are supposed to be short in case the contender outlasts the champion (earning a title shot in the process), but scrap the stipulation so they can go out there and kill it. What we got was fun, but I would've rather seen this built up in advance considering it was a first-time-ever encounter instead of being booked as a throwaway television main event. Overall ShowThis may have been the best edition of ROH TV in months simply because it was only 46-minutes long. Seriously, I'd love nothing more than for the show to be that brief every week. There's nothing worth seeking out from this show (especially with the main event being brief), but they did set up some stuff for next week with Rhodes and The Von Erichs calling out Johnny and MxM Collection as well as Taya Valkyrie vs. La Catalina in an ROH Women's World Television Championship number one contender's match.
