Ring of Honor Review - April 23, 2026

Premier Athletes (Stori Denali, Tony Nese and Ari Daivari) def. Angelica Risk, Terry Kid and Brandon Cutler

Wow, Brandon Cutler! I forgot that dude existed. I couldn't even tell you the last time I saw him in a televised match. He was actually getting quite the push on Dark many moons ago, so it was surprising to see him in there with the other enhancement folks as if he hasn't been established on AEW TV or ROH TV before. Otherwise, this was the usual squash for Premier Athletes.

Mark Davis def. BEEF

Props to Davis for making the most of his singles run since Jake Doyle went down with an injury earlier this year. He still doesn't do much for me as a character, and I don't know that it's necessary for him to be appearing on ROH TV while he's also on AEW TV weekly (you don't want to run the risk of overexposure), but at least this was what it needed to be with him dominating BEEF.

MxM TV (MxM Collection and Johnny TV) def. Angel Fashion, Keagan Garland and "Main Man" Oro

I genuinely don't understand the rationale behind giving a trio like MxM TV wins. You can argue that they need to pick up the occasional victory so it means something when they get beat, but come on, they are never going to win when it matters most, so matches like this are just pointless. Similar to the opener, my top takeaway here was that Oro (the former Oro Mensah from WWE NXT) was ​just thrown in there with the other enhancement guys, even though he's gotten some shine on ROH TV before.

Caprice Coleman Hosted a Sit-Down Interview with ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty

Coleman excels with these sit-down-style interviews, as do his guests. I liked that we got one for Moriarty here so he could further flesh out his character. His reign as ROH Pure Champion has been stagnant for some time now, but he came off as really likable here. It'd be great if this lead to him breaking away from Shane Taylor Promotions, but I just don't see that happening.

Diamante def. Rachael Ellering in a Pure Rules Match

Diamante has been in an infinitely better spot alongside Athena than at any other point in her runs in AEW and Ring of Honor so far, as it's allowed her to win more matches and get semi-regular exposure. This was decent, and I assume the idea is for her to eventually challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the ROH Women's Pure Championship after Billie Starkz already stepped up to her and failed.

Spanish Announce Project and Los Colons def. The Frat House (Jacked Jameson, Cole Karter, Griff Garrison and Preston Vance)

Is this really the state of ROH's tag team division in 2026? There's a ton of teams who should be fighting for the ROH World Tag Team Championship right now. Instead, we're wasting television time on an inconsequential eight-man tag team match. There was nothing technically wrong with this, but as I've said before, anything involving Frat House immediately loses my interest.

Billie Starkz def. Hyan

Athena's crew has had issues with Hyan and Maya World as of late, so this played into that story. I was actually pulling for Hyan to go over, but I understand it made more sense for Starkz to win since she'll be a part of the Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor. This was pretty competitive and they had a nice match.

The Swirl def. Adam Priest and "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington in a Tornado Tag Team Match

This feud has been going for a few months ago, so it was automatically the most meaningful thing on the show this week as well as the best bout. They didn't go too crazy with the stipulation, but they made the most of it and delivered a fun outing. There was no way Blake Christian was losing before he challenges Bandido for the ROH World Championship at Supercard of Honor.

Overall Show

This was an automatic improvement over last week's show for the simple fact that it featured less matches and was shorter. From a storyline standpoint, only the main event was worth a damn, and everything else seemed to exist just to fill out the episode. This edition of ROH TV was bearable but featured absolutely nothing you need to seek out despite Supercard of Honor coming up in a few weeks.
