ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Von Erichs and ROH World Tag Team Champions Sammy Guevara and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes def. The Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) and The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett)Man, that headline is a mouthful, or whatever the equivalent would be in writing. That's happens when you have someone who holds two sets of tag titles and teams with all of their partners! In all seriousness, this was a fun match that made sense from a storyline standpoint given the issues the babyfaces have had with the heels. It was all action and I liked the Claw-turned-slam finisher that one of The Von Erichs used to win. Cage of Agony (Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony) def. Serpentico, Fuego Del Sol and ROH World Television Champion Atlantis Jr.I can understand wanting Atlantis Jr. to look competitive considering he's the ROH World Television Champion, but it should not have taken as long as it did for Cage of Agony to beat Serpentico and Del Sol. They're lower-level enhancement talent and Cage of Agony should've won with ease, even though this was well wrestled. Perhaps Cage of Agony's victory means Cage will be next in line for a shot at the ROH World Television Championship? Abadon def. Alejandra LionAbadon confronted Athena last week, confirming that she's next in line for an ROH Women's World Championship opportunity. Abadon hasn't had many (if any) great matches in their time in AEW and Ring of Honor, but I have faith Athena can carry them to one of their better matches. This was a standard squash for Abadon so they can continue building momentum. MxM Collection def. Pillars of DestinyAs I've said before, MxM Collection have adapted quite well to the ROH environment. I wonder how well they would've gotten over in WWE if they had this much creative freedom. Pillars of Destiny were a good matchup for them because of the vastly different dynamic. There was nothing out of the ordinary about it from an in-ring standpoint, but this did allow them to pick up a victory. Angelico def. Aaron Solo in a Pure Rules MatchThis wouldn't have been an interesting match to begin with, and making it Pure Rules made it even less interesting. You can tell the crowd agreed based on their silence. I understand why it was Pure Rules (Angelico said later in the episode he intends to challenge Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship), but I'd rather see the Pure Rules stuff relegated to matches where the title is on the line. This was serviceable, though. Trish Adroa def. Erica LeighThis was another one of those matches that randomly existed and didn't feel necessary for a show that ended up being two hours long. Adora is skilled, but I hope she finds direction in a feud soon. Racking up wins won't amount to anything unless she makes her mission statement clear that she has her sights set on one of ROH's women's titles. This served as a showcase for her and nothing more. Komander def. K.M.Komander always loses to the bigger stars in AEW and ROH, so this was an instance where he went over to make those loses mean more. For the record, that's probably why Tony Khan books a match like this. Personally, I don't agree, but oh well. This was decent, but I can't imagine anyone will now view Komander any differently than they did before. Rather, it was an excuse to get Komander on the show. EJ Nduka def. Deonn RusmanNduka has the potential to be a terrific pickup for AEW/ROH if he's utilized correctly. I have no issue with him finding his footing in ROH before ideally moving on to AEW TV, so fingers crossed he doesn't get lost in the shuffle. This was kept short and sweet as he went over in decisive fashion. He'll benefit from having more matches like this, but his appearances on ROH TV have to be consistent for them to matter. Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson and Jacked Jameson) def. Jay Alexander, Colton Charles and Rosario GrilloI've said it many times before, but I don't get why Iron Savages need their own enhancement matches. They are ROH's ultimate enhancement team and no win will ever change that, especially when they're against no-namers. Their shtick is stupid and I don't have the slightest clue who it's supposed to appeal to. If nothing else, this was brief, so it wasn't totally insufferable. Marina Shafir def. Tiara JamesShafir has definitely been dominant in most of her matches and I'll give her credit for showing off some cool-looking submissions (including her finisher), but I still can't buy her as a serious threat. She's just boring, and I'm not sure there's anyone on the roster that can help her with that (being paired in a tag team with Nyla Rose obviously wasn't enough). This was more of the same from Shafir. Viewers may recognize James from the matches she's had in MLW over the last year or so. "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker def. Nick Comoroto and Jacoby WattsI honestly forgot about Menard and Parker being a team. Has one of them been hurt recently? They're a perfect addition to ROH's tag team division and I'd be down to see them as ROH World Tag Team Champions at some point (I don't think a run with the AEW World Tag Team Championship is as realistic). This was a solid reintroduction for them. Why does Comoroto keep taking the pinfall losses instead of Watts? Lio Rush def. Tony NeseThis match was set up in a backstage segment last week. I don't know what purpose it was supposed to serve, but I appreciated that they announced it in advance, nonetheless. I felt like I was watching a match from WWE's 205 Live program five years ago and that's not necessarily a bad thing. This was nicely paced. I'm glad we've been able to see more of Rush in ROH and AEW as of late. ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe def. The Beast MortosMortos pinning Briscoe in a tag team match on Dynamite earlier this month was what led to Mortos getting this title shot, so I fully expected this match to happen on Rampage or Collision since that's where Briscoe spends most of his time these days. I'm happy to have been wrong. It was refreshing to have a main event with actual stakes, and it was a quality contest to boot. I wish it went a little longer, but what we got was enjoyable. Overall ShowI should really stop complaining about the runtime for these shows because by doing so, I feel like I'm jinxing myself and they're only getting longer. I mean, two hours? Is that needed for an edition of ROH TV? There were far too many squashes, and only the opening and closing matches had significance. The show definitely dragged and wasn't worth sitting through in its entirety. Check out the main event, but that's about it.
