The Beast Mortos def. GravityGravity went from being a regular on ROH TV last year to barely being featured this year. Regardless, this was a logical match to do with Mortos involved in the Survival of the Fittest match with Gravity's brother Bandido for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle this Friday. Gravity scored some offense, but this was largely all about Mortos as it should have been. Dalton Castle and The Outrunners def. Rosario Grillo and The Frat House (Jacked Jameson and Griff Garrison)It was said that Grillo would earn a spot in Frat House if he won here. That pretty much telegraphed the finish with him being the one to get pinned, though I'm not sure what the harm would've been in pinning one of the regular members of Frat House. This was a perfectly fine six-man tag team affair, but it felt like it only existed to give Castle a win before he faces Ricochet for the AEW National Championship at Final Battle. Leila Grey def. Trish AdoraGrey and Adora have been a part of SkyFlight's feud with Shane Taylor Promotions, so this match wasn't completely random. It was actually a bit of an upset for Grey to beat Adora, who took part in the ROH Women's Pure Championship Tournament before being eliminated. This was a passable match for what it was, but I was surprised to see no one else from either faction show up. The Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno) def. Vin Parker, Jimmy House and Jay AlexanderAs I've said before, it's almost impossible to care about anything Dark Order do these days, including their six-man tag team matches that don't lead to anything. I'm not saying I'm dying to see them in the mix for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, but it'd be nice if these matches actually amounted to something significant. What we got was okay yet nothing out of the ordinary. Persephone def. DiamanteI was wondering if Diamante's attack on Persephone last week would lead to a last-minute match between the two before Final Battle, and here it was. Diamante's obviously talented, so I'm glad they were able to have a competitive contest. Athena and Persephone faced off afterward to hype their ROH Women's World Championship clash coming up on Friday night. Overall ShowI don't know why Ring of Honor does these special shows when there's still the usual edition of ROH TV on Thursday, but I assume it's because these are matches they wanted to get out of the way before Final Battle and they didn't want to put all of the matches happening on Tuesday and Thursday on one episode. This was serviceable stuff and the 45 minutes breeze by, but nothing outside of maybe the main event is worth seeking out at all.
