Esfinge, Atlantis and Fuego def. Rocky Romero, Gran Guerrero and EuforiaRomero was the only one I'm super familiar with, but I've seen most of the other CMLL guys on ROH TV or in AEW or MLW before. This was your standard six-man tag team lucha affair with the expected chaotic pace and good action. Since Romero was the most established of everyone involved, it made sense for him to be the one who got pinned so it meant something to Ring of Honor viewers. La Catalina def. Lady FrostCatalina previously wrestled for WWE as Katrina Cortez under a mask in NXT. She was only 18 when she signed there and that was in 2019, so she's very young. I haven't followed her work in CMLL, but she's obviously improved. This wasn't consistently smooth, but it was well worked on the whole. We found out later on that Catalina will challenge Athena for the ROH Women's World Championship on next week's show. The Beast Mortos def. Adam PriestMortos just lost to Hologram on Saturday's Collision in Hologram's return to the ring, so this gave him a chance to bounce back (even though most of what happens on ROH TV hardly matters in AEW). Priest has always been utilized as an enhancement talent on these shows, so I was surprised to see this last as long as it did before Mortos finally put him away. The Infantry def. Rosario Grillo and Jimmy WildThis was similar to the previous match in that the outcome was never in doubt yet the match wasn't as brief as it probably should have been. Despite that, it served as a solid showcase for The Infantry. I enjoy their offense and I've dug them being part of Shane Taylor Promotions, but what I'd really like to see is them get back to ROH World Tag Team Championship contention. Blake Christian def. Fuego Del SolChristian's new nickname is "Vanilla Baby". I suppose that compliments his new heel persona well and gives him the character that he desperately lacked before. Being the ultimate underdog, Fuego was a fun foil for him and they had a nice match together with the crowd behind Fuego throughout. Christian keeps racking up wins, so I have to imagine he'll eventually challenge for the ROH World Television Championship. Black Panther def. GravityGravity was a regular on ROH TV and AEW TV for a while between 2023 and 2024, but he disappeared for an entire before resurfacing here. I don't know why he wasn't used or if he's back permanently, but he had a quality contest with Panther here as they made the most of the time they had. I figured he'd win his return match, but apparently not. Black Panther has been impressive in the handful of matches I've seen him in so far. Atlantis Jr., Mascara Dorada and Templario def. Magnus, Soberano Jr. and Volador Jr.I'm not sure why we got two lucha six-man tag team matches on the same show when one of them could've been saved for a different episode, but I actually found this more entertaining than the opener. Everyone had their time to shine and the crowd got into the action. The outcome was irrelevant since none of these guys are ROH wrestlers, but this was fun for what it was. Overall ShowOf course, this was a very CMLL-centric episode with a majority of the matches featuring CMLL stars. We've seen some of these faces on other episodes in recent weeks, so I'm curious if this is a temporary thing or if CMLL will continue to have a presence on ROH TV for the foreseeable future. This edition of ROH TV was more about the wrestling than it was progressing storylines, but it was a decent episode that didn't overstay its welcome.
