Adam Priest and "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington def. Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari)Priest and Billingston just lost to The Swirl a week or two ago, so it would've been silly for them to lose to Premier Athletes, too. I know Premier Athletes have received a renewed push of sorts, but let's face it: That has more to do with Stori Denali than anything else. The match was decent. Post-match, The Swirl and Jay Lethal attacked Priest and Billington, so I guess that feud is continuing. Satnam Singh def. Josiah Jean and Dante Leon in a 2-on-1 Handicap MatchInstead of having a pointless singles squash match, Singh had a pointless Handicap match. Wow, what a change of pace! In all seriousness, this was more of the same with Singh going over quickly and in dominant fashion. Until Singh starts facing people on the roster again or actually feuding with someone, I will continue to not care about any of these matches he has because they serve zero purpose. CRU def. Alec Price and Jordan OliverTony Khan announced Price and Oliver as being "All Elite" this week following their match with FTR on Dynamite, though I believe they've been signed since at least the beginning of the year per reports. Despite their Dynamite appearance, I assume Price and Oliver will largely be relegated to ROH TV, maybe Collision. This was well wrestled. I like CRU, but it was strange for Price and Oliver to lose on back-to-back days in the same week they were officially added to the roster. Dalton Castle and The Outrunners def. Auzzy, HiTT and Gino MedinaCastle and The Outrunners are quickly approaching Satnam Singh territory in the sense that they face a lot of enhancement talent without building any real momentum. The only difference is that Castle and The Outrunners are more fun to watch. This was another standard showcase for the trio, but these wins won't mean anything until they finally challenge for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty def. "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard in an ROH Pure Championship Proving Ground MatchMenard is still somewhat popular, but he's not a threat to any singles titles, so it didn't feel like Moriarty was in jeopardy of losing here. Their match was serviceable, but this seemed to exist to not only give Moriarty another Proving Ground win but also establish that SkyFlight's issues with Shane Taylor Promotions aren't over based on the two groups interacting afterward. Diamante and Billie Starkz def. Londyn Dior and Rachael ElleringAs I've said before, it'd be nice if Diamante and Starkz also made appearances on AEW TV and went after the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship, but that would require Tony Khan putting them on AEW TV more regularly. In Ring of Honor, they're spinning their wheels as Athena's henchwomen. They were responsible for retiring Madison Rayne recently but have done nothing of note since then. How typical. This was whatever. Big Bill and "Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith def. Will Allday and K.M.You can pretty much apply what I said about Starkz and Diamante and apply it to Bill and Keith. They've have more AEW TV appearances lately, but not that many. They are also directionless at the moment and it's frustrating to see. I don't see the value in keeping them together as a team, either. There was nothing technically wrong with this match, but it felt like a waste of time. Ace Austin def. Johnny TVFunnily enough, this was a main event by ROH TV standards, but it would probably be a midcard match at best on Collision. However, that isn't meant to be a knock on either guy as I thought this was a fun match for as long as it lasted. Beating Johnny TV doesn't mean as much as it used to, but hopefully this is a sign that Austin is gradually climbing the card on his own. Overall ShowI was worried when I saw that there were eight matches advertised for this edition of ROH TV, but the show ended up breezing by since most of the matches didn't go overly long. That doesn't necessarily equate to a good show since there was no significant angle advancement or anything worth seeking out. Khan hasn't put consistent, serious effort into the ROH product in some time and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.
