Atlantis Jr. and Atlantis def. Spanish Announce ProjectNow it makes sense why Spanish Announce Project won recently on ROH TV: so they could lose to Atlantis and Atlantis Jr. here. Atlantis and Atlantis Jr. have been all over AEW TV in the last month or two, so it would've been silly for them to lose to Spanish Announce Project of all teams. This was a serviceable, well-worked opener with both teams showing respect to each other afterward. Adam Priest def. Aaron SoloI thought this would serve as a showcase for Solo so he'd be able to win for a change, so I was shocked when Priest won instead. Is Priest even under contract to Ring of Honor/AEW? Is he going to be brought back for something? If not, then I'm not sure why this existed. Don't me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the match as it was fine while it lasted, but this is the sort of stuff that makes me think random matches are put together on ROH TV just to fill the time. The Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno) def. Local AthletesThe Frat House put three of their losers through an "initiation" by having them face Dark Order. We've seen them do this before and the losers, of course, never win. They kept it short and sweet with Dark Order going over decisively before challenging three members of Frat House to a six-man tag team match at Supercard of Honor. It makes sense because they've been feuding for a while, but I can't say I care. Deonna Purrazzo def. Rachael Ellering in a Pure Rules MatchThere continues to be talk from the commentators about a ROH Women's Pure Championship Tournament. It was announced at least three months ago and yet there's been no update on when it's actually happening. Why not make this a tournament match since I assume both women will be a part of it, anyway? To their credit, they had a quality contest and made the most of the Pure Rules. The Sons of Texas (ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Von Erichs and ROH World Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes) def. Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese) and Grizzled Young VeteransI thought the Sons of Texas name only applied to Guevara and Rhodes, but apparently it applies to The Von Erichs as well. I wish Rhodes would lose one of his titles already so it'd be less confusing to label him in the headline of his matches in my reviews. At any rate, this was a perfectly solid main event that gave the babyfaces a win ahead of Guevara and Rhodes' ROH World Tag Team Championship defense against The Infantry at Supercard of Honor. Overall ShowA new match was made official for Supercard of Honor in Dark Order vs. Frat House and we got a pre-taped promo from Athena, but otherwise, there wasn't a whole lot of build or hype for the pay-per-view on Friday night. A total of seven matches have been announced, but I can see more being added because, well, it's Tony Khan's ROH we're talking about. This wasn't a very interesting go-home show whatsoever, but at around 50 minutes, it was adequate and thankfully didn't last longer than it needed to.
