Atlantis Jr. def. Lee JohnsonIt's always weird whenever Atlantis Jr. gets booed by certain crowds yet cheered by others. I don't follow CMLL closely enough to know what the reason for that is, but hey, I like the dude. This was your usual match that didn't really matter, but it was well wrestled while it lasted. I'd say expect more matches like this with Forbidden Door coming up, but we actually see stuff like this all the time on ROH TV with Atlantis Jr. being a regular in recent months. Diamante def. Maya WorldDiamante returned to action on the Supercard of Honor Zero Hour pre-show after being gone for a few months. She'd be the perfect fit for the ROH Women's World Television Championship... if the current champ Red Velvet wasn't out injured, along with the new interim champ Mina Shirakawa (who was apparently injured at All In). At any rate, this was a standard squash for Diamante to give her another win. Jay Lethal def. Michael OkuOku was also in action at Supercard of Honor, losing in the night's opener to Hechicero. All signs point to him putting pen to paper with AEW, but in the meantime, I'm all for him being used on the Ring of Honor brand. Lethal also lost at Supercard of Honor (in a match on the pre-show to Blake Christian of all people), so this actually wasn't all that predictable (even with Oku being a RevPro champion, though that's not a belt I personally care about). This was an enjoyable outing and I liked that Lethal endorsed Oku afterward. Hechicero def. AngelicoI've said several times before, but I'll say it again: I've become a big fan of Hechicero's work this year. He's just got an awesome vibe about him compared to most of the other CMLL guys who appear in AEW and ROH. He's being primed for a shot at Bandido (who he beat in a tag team match on Wednesday's Dynamite) for the ROH World Championship soon, so this was a logical victory for him. I would've preferred for this to be a little less competitive, but it was a decent main event, nonetheless. Interestingly, Hologram made the save for Angelico afterward and not Bandido, but I'd be surprised if we got Hechicero vs. Hologram soon since Hologram is still undefeated and Hechicero shouldn't be losing before he contends for the ROH World title. Overall ShowIn addition to everything mentioned above, this show also featured some backstage promos from Athena (who won the women's Casino Gauntlet at All In and successfully defended her ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor), Dustin Rhodes (who captured the AEW TNT Championship at All In) and The Frat House (who lost to The Dark Order at Supercard of Honor). Thus, it was a solid follow-up edition of ROH coming out of the pay-per-view and I appreciate we already know who's next to challenge Bandido. The four-match format works really well for ROH TV.
