Atlantis Jr. and Templario def. Magnus & Volador Jr.Atlantis and Templario just lost to FTR on last week's Fyter Fest edition of Collision and they also appeared interacting with FTR and The Don Callis Family on the Summer Blockbuster edition of Collision this week, so this was a timely win for them. This was along the same lines as every other CMLL match on ROH TV in that it was well wrestled but lacked storyline support and therefore felt like filler. Preston Vance def. Evil UnoAs tired as I am of The Dark Order feuding with The Frat House, I will say what I liked about this match was that Vance is obviously a former member of Dark Order, so there's history there. How much people care about/remember that at this point, I have no idea, but it made the match slightly more meaningful. The match was decent, but the focus was more so on John Silver's post-match return, which the crowd popped for. ROH Women's World Television Champion Red Velvet def. Harleen Lopez in an ROH Women's World Television Championship Proving Ground MatchThis wasn't officially announced as a Proving Ground match, but it was mentioned on Ring of Honor's social media that it would be, so let's go with that. It hardly matters either way because the outcome was never in doubt. This was the usual showcase for Velvet, but the problem is that she's been spinning her wheels for months without any real competition, begging the question of why the championship was created in the first place. And now they want to introduce an ROH Women's Pure Championship, too? Come on, man. Shane Taylor Promotions (ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty, Shane Taylor and The Infantry) def. Vaughn Vertigo, Martian Webb, Riley Reinhart and Joe DemaroI enjoy Shane Taylor Promotions as a group, but beyond doing the occasional job on AEW TV, they haven't amounted to much. They'll win squash matches like this in dominant fashion, but nothing is ever done with them otherwise. And no, Moriarty being ROH Pure Champion doesn't really count since that title is pretty pointless these days. This existed, but that's about it. ROH World Champion Bandido def. Mansoor in an ROH World Championship Proving Ground MatchI'm glad Bandido is on AEW TV as much as he is, but it's typically to lose, which hurts whatever prestige the ROH World Championship has left. This was a fun Proving Ground match, but Mansoor can't be the biggest threat to Bandido on the ROH roster, right? Blake Christian and Lee Johnson attacked Bandido afterward before Mascara Dorada made the save, so I don't know what that means for the ROH World Championship match at Supercard of Honor. Overall ShowROH TV is now consistently shorter than it's been at any other point since it started airing on HonorClub. That's easily the best part about the program these days because there's not a whole lot else worth raving about otherwise. The action on this episode was average and Silver returning was notable, but I want to start to see some serious build for Supercard of Honor coming up in about a month. Instead, I'm sure they'll put together a card for the pay-per-view at the last minute as always.
