Spanish Announce Project def. Alpha Zo and CSJI couldn't even tell you the last time Spanish Announce Project teamed together since they're normally utilized as singles stars and lose, and I can't possibly care about them being involved in Ring of Honor's tag team ranks. This existed to give them a win and a credibility boost, but the problem is that it took them way longer than it should have to beat two guys that aren't on the roster. Blake Christian def. Titus AlexanderChristian has been on an undefeated streak on ROH TV as of late, so it was funny seeing him losing in that tag team match on the Revolution Zero Hour pre-show last weekend as if none of those wins mattered. He again defeated a no-namer here, but this did serve as a solid showcase for him. Alexander was actually impressive before eating defeat, so at least this didn't drag on. Leila Grey def. Lady FrostThe video package for Grey was really well produced. Personally, I'm not overly invested because it's not as if she's improving at a rapid rate (not to mention that even ROH has plenty of women who are far better in the ring), but I appreciate that they're trying to get the average viewer to care about her. Keeping this short and sweet was probably for the best. Grey winning clean was a nice touch. The Gates of Agony and Top Flight def. The Frat House (Preston Vance and Cole Karter) and Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari)I previously mentioned that I have no interest in Spanish Announce Project being a part of ROH's tag team division, but I can say the same thing for Frat House and Premier Athletes as well. They're only there to eat pinfalls and this was no exception. There was nothing technically wrong with this, but I can't say I cared about the action as it felt like an easy win for the babyface teams. Why aren't they already in the ROH World Tag Team Championship mix? Dark Panther def. Aaron SoloSolo is the guy they'll put in there to make anyone else look good. I mistakenly thought Panther was challenging Komander for the ROH World Television Championship this week, but that's next week. This was meant to make him look like more of a legitimate threat to the title before then. There was nothing out of the ordinary about the match in the time they were allotted. Katsuyori Shibata def. Lee JohnsonThe timing of this worked out well because Shibata will be having an AEW International Championship Eliminator Tournament match against Ricochet on Saturday's Collision, so much like how he won that six-man tag team squash on Wednesday's Dynamite, this accomplished what it needed to (though I'm not sure it happened for that purpose). I didn't have an issue with it being a competitive contest considering who he was in the ring with. Mistico, Atlantis and Esfinge def. Euforia, Gran Guerrero and Rocky RomeroIf you've seen any of the CMLL tag team main events on ROH TV in recent weeks, you've seen them all. They're very similar in terms of how they're wrestled and there's never anything at stake. Why not give one of these trios a shot at the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship on an upcoming episode to make these matches worthwhile? Mistico was the best part of this bout as he's consistently a treat to watch. Overall ShowThis was another middle-of-the-road edition of ROH TV where CMLL had a presence, yet a majority of the matches were fairly forgettable. Chris Jericho doesn't appear often enough for his reign as ROH World Champion to make a difference and there isn't anything going on in most of the divisions. Hell, they were building toward a rematch between Red Velvet vs. Leyla Hirsh for the ROH World Women's Television Championship at one point and now Hirsch is gone from the company. Generally speaking, ROH TV is a pointless program, but if nothing else, the shows being shorter makes them more bearable.
