ROH Women's Pure Champion Purrazzo def. Billie StarkzPurrazzo was crowned the inaugural ROH Women's Pure Champion at Final Battle over three months ago, yet this was the first time the title has been defended. Why the title is even a thing, I have no idea, but as I've said before, Purrazzo is the perfect person to helm the division if Tony Khan isn't going to do much else with her. This was the well-wrestled match you'd expect from these two. It was announced afterward that Athena will defend the ROH Women's World Championship against Maya World on next week's episode. Mark Davis def. AngelicoBetween Dynamite, Collision and ROH TV, Davis has to be getting more television time than just about anyone right now. His hard-hitting matches have made him mildly more interesting, but you know he'll never when it matters most on his own (as seen on Wednesday's Dynamite when he lost to Mike Bailey). He dominated Angelico here as he should have and that's about it. Alec Price and Jordan Oliver def. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno)Price and Oliver popped up on AEW TV a few times after it was reported they were "All Elite" and it quickly became clear that they're primarily be utilized as an enhancement team. They're better off in Ring of Honor, where they could be in the ROH World Tag Team Championship eventually if they keep racking up wins. The match was decent and beating Dark Order is a (small) step above beating an uncontracted tandem. Robyn Renegade def. Rachael ElleringI immediately assumed Ellering was winning because, well, the Renegade twins have been positioned as jobbers for several years in AEW and Ellering has at least been marginally more significant. Apparently not. The outcome was irrelevant because I don't see it amounting to anything for Renegade. For her sake, I hope I'm wrong. The match wasn't anything out of the ordinary for as long as it lasted. Big Bill def. Logan CruzBill continues to team with Bryan Keith, so I'm not really sure what the point was of putting him in singles competition. The best thing I can say about this is that they kept it brief. That's not to say it was bad but rather inconsequential. I'm still disappointed AEW hasn't done more with Bill seeing as how he had an impressive run in TNA and has largely been a tag team player in AEW. Shane Taylor Promotions (Cristyan XO and Trish Adora) def. Dream Girl Ellie and Kelsey RaeganI believe Cristyan has been hanging around Shane Taylor Promotions for the last little bit, so I'm assuming she's an official member of the group. Adora getting a tag team partner is cool, but if they're not going to be also appearing on AEW TV and going after the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship, there's only so much they can do in ROH. Nonetheless, this served as a solid showcase for them. Grizzled Young Veterans and Isla Dawn def. Rosario Grillo, The OXP and Valentina RossiI'm glad Grizzled Young Veterans are back to receiving regular television time again, not only in ROH but occasionally in AEW as well. They're a talented team and I'd be way more into the idea of them holding the ROH World Tag Team Championship than La Faccion Ingobernable, who are barely around. This was exactly what it needed to be. SkyFlight faced off with them afterward as they're in the midst of a faction feud. Diamante def. Hyena HeraIan Riccaboni mentioned on commentary that these two fought in an eight-woman tag team match almost exactly three days ago on Dark: Elevation, for anyone who cares. Diamante has definitely benefited from aligning with Athena and Starkz, so it's nice to see her winning for a change. This was a fairly standard squash for her. She called out Purrazzo afterward so this was to get her closer to a title shot. Lethal Twist def. The SuperstarzLethal Twist is a much better name than The Swirl. Shockingly, The Superstarz got an entrance even though they're not under contract (to my knowledge, anyway). They looked like a knockoff 3MB. This could have been slightly shorter, as it only existed to give the heels a victory. Post-match, Bandido, Adam Priest and Tommy Billington emerged to fend them off. ROH World Television Champion Nick Wayne def. KomanderThe lack of consistency in ROH is pretty comical considering Wayne was out injured for many months and there wasn't an interim champ in his absence, yet Red Velvet wasn't out hurt for very long and there had to be an interim ROH Women's World Television Champion for some reason. Regardless, this made sense with Komander being the last person to hold the title before Wayne, and they had a quality contest. Overall ShowAs I've said before in regards to ROH TV, 10 or more matches is absolutely not necessary. This edition went around 90 minutes, so it could have been worse, but they could have afforded to trim some of the filler, too. You had title matches to start and close the show with everything in the middle being serviceable, so I'd chalk this up to being a middle-of-the-road episode by ROH TV standards.
