Dark Panther def. OkumuraI was surprised to see Okumura in action considering he's currently one-half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions. He must not be under an exclusive deal to MLW if he was able to appear here. Regardless, he and Panther had a well-worked match. This felt like existed to give Panther a rebound win after he recently fell short of unseating Komander as ROH World Television Champion. ROH World Tag Team Champions The Sons of Texas and Willie Mack def. Johnny TV and MxM CollectionHave Sons of Texas really been feuding with MxM Collection for over two months ago? On one hand, I'm glad they have something of a story, but it feels like this feud is never-ending, not to mention MxM Collection aren't threats to the titles in the slightest. On the bright side, this was a fun sprint while it lasted. Despite the babyface trio winning, the heels laid them out afterward. ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Diamante def. Mazzerati and Jordan BlueIn a video that aired at the start of the show, Athena basically blew off Billie Starkz (not happy with her lack of success of late, including her loss to Mercedes Mone on Dynamite last week) and told her she'd be trying out Diamante as a partner instead. The tension between Athena and Starkz has been going on for so long at this point that it's almost impossible to care. I appreciate that this alliance gives Diamante something to do. They made quick work of their opponents as they should have. Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese) def. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno)You know what would've made this match bearable to me? A stipulation that both teams would've left Ring of Honor regardless of who won. Okay, I kid... but not really. I couldn't possibly have cared less about this battle of enhancement teams if I tried. There was nothing wrong with it from an in-ring standpoint, but the outcome was irrelevant. Worse yet, The Frat House cost Dark Order the win, so that might be a feud we get going forward. Ugh. Queen Aminata def. Viva VanAminata has had much more of a regular presence on AEW TV this year while also competing consistently on ROH TV, which is encouraging. She's certainly benefiting from getting more reps and racking up wins. I'd love for her to be headed back for either the ROH Women's World Championship or the ROH Women's World Television Championship, but time will tell. This was a nice outing from her and Van as they made the most of the time they had. Atlantis Jr., Titan and Fuego def. Barbaro Cavernario, Volador Jr. and RugidoAnother week, another CMLL-centric main event. Seriously, would it kill Tony Khan to switch it up at this point? I know we're not going to get any stories in these matches (though Panther vs. Komander for the ROH World Television Championship was built up in advance and not totally random), but the matches blend together because they're all essentially the same. The crowd was quiet early on but came alive for some of the entertaining offense down the stretch. Otherwise, this was a waste of time. Overall ShowIf you're someone who is enjoying ROH TV more because of the influx of CMLL guys, more power to you. I'm not one of those people, mostly because we're still not getting meaningful storyline progression most weeks (and when we do, it's not very interesting). We were for a little while, but they've since gone back to featuring filler on these shows. This was another ho-hum episode that wasn't egregiously bad by any means, but it ended up being an hour of wrestling that simply existed.
