Dalton Castle and The Outrunners def. Zack Mason, Warren Johnson and Savage KingWe've seen a few of these squashes from Castle and The Outrunners where they'll make quick work of their unknown opponents in an effort to establish themselves as a credible trio and a potential threat to the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. This was more of the same. I hope they get their shot soon, ideally at Final Battle so they're not stuck spinning their wheels for much longer. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero and Rocky Romero) def. Spanish Announce ProjectIt's been confirmed that it will be Romero and the returning Trent Beretta as RPG Vice representing The Don Callis Family against Big Boom! A.J. and QT Marshall on the Full Gear pre-show, so it's slightly strange we're seeing Romero team up with Hechicero in the meantime. This was more competitive than it should have been considering Spanish Announce Project are an enhancement team, but at least the outcome was the correct one. ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Billie Starkz def. Maya World and HyanI'm not sure when this was taped, but the timing was perfect because World and Hyan earned a lot of brownie points for filling in for Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize on such short notice on last week's Collision. They were essentially squashed on that show, but they scored way more offense here. Athena went over decisively before she defends the ROH Women's World Championship against Harley Cameron on next week's show. The Swirl def. Vin Parker and Will AlldayAs I've said before, I have no clue what's going on with The Swirl. One week, they have their sights set on Bandido and the ROH World Championship. The next week, they'll compete in a tag team match where it looks like they're gunning for an opportunity at the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Honestly, I'd probably prefer the latter. At any rate, this was a fine spotlight win for them but nothing more. Lance Archer def. Aaron SoloSolo is associated with Marshall and Archer is obviously a member of The Don Callis Family, so this match actually had some storyline support. It was treated like any other Archer squash, mind you, but I'm not complaining. That's the right role for Solo and Archer is at his best when he's in domination mode. This was thankfully brief and exactly what it needed to be. SkyFlight (Top Flight and Leila Grey) def. MxM TV (MxM Collection and Taya Valkyrie)MxM TV aren't a threat to anyone, but bless them for being weekly fixtures on ROH TV as well as on Collision. They never win anything of note, but they do what they can with the television time they're given. This was a nice win for SkyFlight as they seemingly inch closer to challenging for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. The current champs Shane Taylor Promotions attacked them afterward. ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty def. Willie MackKomander survived a Proving Ground match with Moriarty on last week's episode, yet Mack received a title shot here... well, just because. Yes, Komander showed up afterward and faced off with Moriarty (I assume they'll meet again for the ROH Pure Championship at Final Battle), but it still lacks logic. Nonetheless, they had the quality contest you'd expect from them. Overall ShowThis was yet another edition of ROH TV that simply existed. It wasn't completely lifeless, and there was build for A.J. and Marshall vs. RPG Vice at Full Gear and Moriarty vs. Komander (presumably at Final Battle), but the rest of the episode wasn't out of the ordinary whatsoever. If you enjoy meaningless enhancement matches, then you'll love this show. Otherwise, don't waste the time.
