ROH World Champion Bandido def. HechiceroI was pleasantly surprised to learn that these two had a rematch for the ROH World Championship at what I believe was a recent CMLL event in Mexico. There was a lot less drama because I assumed I would've heard about the title changing hands by now had it happened, but the match itself was once again excellent. Bandido's shoulder injury should play a significant role in his matches going forward. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Shane Taylor def. BEEFThis stemmed from a recent match BEEF had where The Workhorsemen made the save for him. It was a total squash as it should have been with Taylor making quick work of BEEF as he should have, but the focus was on the post-match angle with The Workhorsemen saving BEEF from Shane Taylor Promotions before La Faccion Ingobernable showed up and laid them out. I like that the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship picture is finally heating up. Billie Starkz def. Viva Van in a Pure Rules MatchI'm convinced that Van's sole purpose for wrestling in Ring of Honor these days is to be utilized as an enhancement talent for the women in the ROH Women's Pure Championship Tournament only. She's had a handful of Pure Rules matches as of late and has lost them all. This one in particular was no more interesting than the rest and it didn't seem to accomplish anything at all. Spanish Announce Project def. Logan Cruz and Tyshaun PerezSpeaking of things that don't seem to accomplish anything, what's the point of putting Spanish Announce Project in matches if they don't lead to something of note? I'd love for them to get a one-off shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship at some point so they can lose and go back to being a jobber team. Otherwise, these matches of theirs (while perfectly fine) are a waste of time. IWGP Women's Champion Sareee def. Alex WindsorI'm glad this was announced a week in advance and didn't just happen out of nowhere. That's not always the case with ROH TV main events. It suffered from the same as Bandido vs. Hechicero in that I figured Windsor wasn't winning, but they had a quality, well-worked main event, nonetheless. Windsor hasn't been able to win what it has mattered most since arriving in AEW, so I hope that changes soon. Overall ShowThis wasn't necessarily a shorter show than usual, but it certainly felt like one thanks to the opener running as long as it did. I have no complaints because Bandido and Hechicero have such strong chemistry together and the two matches I've seen them have were awesome. That and the main event carried this edition of ROH TV with ease. The other three matches were whatever but thankfully not terrible.
