AEW TNT Champion Kevin Knight def. CMLL World Welterweight Champion Titan (CMLL World Welterweight Championship Was Not Defended)We found out on Wednesday's Dynamite that Knight will defend the AEW TNT Championship against Darby Allin in a Falls Count Anywhere match at All In, so needless to say, there was no way Knight was losing here. That said, he and Knight had an enjoyable opener, and I appreciate that Knight has been such a fighting champion over the last few months (including defending it outside of AEW). ROH World Television Champion Lio Rush def. El ClonThis was a rematch from the Collision before Redemption where Clon beat Rush to qualify for that AEW International Championship number one contender's Ladder match at Redemption. I'm glad they went back to this and didn't forget about it so Clon's non-title win over Rush wasn't totally pointless. This was a nice matchup. It was subsequently announced that Rush vs. Action Andretti will finally happen at Death Before Dishonor in a Fight Without Honor. ROH Women's World Champion Athena Crashed Caprice Coleman's Sit-Down Interview with Hikaru ShidaColeman's sit-down interviews are almost always great, but I found this to be one of the weaker ones he's done. I know the point was to for Starkz to come off as likable, and she did to an extent, but her background wasn't very interesting. This was also very random as she's currently a heel in Ring of Honor and this was very much a babyface interview. Athena interrupted it, so I assume they want you to feel sympathy for Starkz, but we're well past that point in my opinion. Mexican National Women's Champion Thunder Rosa, AEW TBS Champion Maya World and Hyan def. Marina Shafir, Hikaru Shida and Artist of Stardom Champion Skye BlueGood lord, there are too many titles from other promotions on these shows. The AEW TBS Championship is one thing, but Blue's Stardom trios title? Rosa's title from CMLL? The more belts you showcase, the less each of them means. Anyway, this was a well-worked six-woman tag team match. However, I have no idea what purpose it was supposed to serve other than to further the feud between World and Shida. Soberano Jr. def. KomanderKomander has been featured more often in AEW TV as of late, which has been encouraging to see. We all know he's talented, it's just that he can't win matches that matter. This match didn't matter and he still lost, but it made sense because one of the CMLL guys had to go over on this show. Nonetheless, this was the fun match you'd expect considering who was involved. AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher def. ROH World Tag Team Champion and CMLL World Trios Champion Mascara Dorada (Non-Title)It was already announced on Wednesday's Dynamite that Fletcher will defend the AEW International Championship in a three-way with Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at All In. He's not losing before then, despite the predictable outcome, this was an entertaining main event with quality action. It lasted as long as it needed to with Dorada looking credible in defeat. Overall ShowThese Global Wars editions of ROH TV tend to be some of ROH's stronger (non-pay-per-view) shows of the year and this was another thumbs-up effort. The electric environment in Mexico makes a big difference and enhances all of the matches, including the inconsequential ones. No championships changed hands or anything, but this was an obvious improvement over what we usually get on Thursday nights from ROH.
