Eddie Kingston and Ortiz def. "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington and Adam Priest

I'm still slightly miffed that Kingston is stuck in a tag team with Ortiz instead of doing his own thing, but oh well. This was a well-worked bout between two talented tandems. Very little in Ring of Honor makes sense, so I don't expect this to amount to an ROH World Tag Team Championship opportunity for Kingston and Ortiz, but I enjoyed this for what it was.

ROH Women's World Television Champion Red Velvet def. Alice Crowley

Velvet has improved leaps and bounds as both a character and as a wrestler. She's done what she can as ROH Women's World Television Champion across her two reigns, but she's had limited direction and no notable feuds outside of her two matches with Mercedes Mone last year. Despite that, she and Crowley had impressive showings and delivered a nice match.

Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal and The Swirl) def. Psycho Mike, Bhupinder Gujjar and Evil Uno

Lethal Twist have become quite the cohesive unit in recent months in ROH. I know nothing about Mike, but I obviously know Uno from AEW and Gujjar from the short stint he had in TNA. This felt like a random collection of competitors, but it was a pretty decent match for the time it was given. With Lethal Twist being an actual trio, it was logical for them to go over.

ROH Women's Pure Champion Deonna Purrazzo def. MLP Canadian Women's Champion Gisele Shaw (MLP Canadian Women's Championship Was Not Defended)

A video package aired where we got to hear from both women and their history was highlighted. That made the match more meaningful. Granted, it wasn't ideal for the company's top women's champ to lose, but it was after a hell of a hard-hitting affair with Purrazzo, so she was made to look credible in defeat. This was easily the best bout over the ROH Women's Pure Championship I've seen so far.

Rohan Raja def. Stu Grayson to Retain the PWA Champion's Grail

The PWA Champion's Grail is basically a championship that you can have gain possession of, at least as far as I understand it. I'm familiar with Raja from his time in TNA, but he has much more of a presence about him now than he ever did at that point. As for Grayson, I remember he re-signed with AEW years ago, but I have no idea whether he still works there or not. You forget that he's such a skilled worker. This was a quality contest from two guys who felt like they had something to prove as singles stars.

Michael Oku def. Jake Crist, Michael Allen Richard Clark, Daisuke Sasaki, Brent Banks and Ace Austin in a Six-Pack Scramble Match

Clark was the only one to cut pre-match promo, which helped him get heat from the crowd and stand out from the others. It was weird to do a Six-Pack Scramble match with nothing on the line, but it basically served as a showcase for all involved, so in that respect, it was a success. It was non-stop action and a very fun sprint. I'm shocked Oku hasn't been signed by a major promotion yet because he has serious potential.

ROH Women's World Champion Athena def. Taylor Rising

Athena defending her ROH Women's World Championship twice in one week is rather refreshing, especially since she barely defends it these days. Of course, the outcome wasn't in doubt whatsoever, but I was curious to see what Rising could do and I thought she held her own. Rising will be someone to keep an eye on going forward. As for Athena, I'm beyond ready for her to be dethroned.

Ricochet def. Rich Swann

This was a fantastic attraction for this show. Granted, it felt more like a battle between AEW and TNA than it did anything having to do with Maple Leap Pro Wrestling, but I can't complain about getting a terrific match, and I'm sure both guys will make more appearances for the promotion in the future. I was thoroughly entertained here. Definitely the highlight of the night.

The Good Brothers def. Bishop Dyer & Kaito Kiyomiya, Bryce Hansen & Sheldon Jean, and GOA in a Four-Way Tag Team Match to Become the Inaugural MLP Canadian Tag Team Champions

Although this was far from a barn burner, I get wanting to put this on last since it was to crown the company's inaugural tag team champs. It never reached that next level for me, but it was a solid main event, nonetheless. Good Brothers aren't all that interesting to me in 2026, but there's no denying they're a decorated duo and give legitimacy to the belts out of the gate.

Overall Show

I know MLP Wrestling has been running events for the last little while, but this was the first one I checked out in full because of the connection with ROH. This was a really strong show and an excellent introduction to the promotion who someone like me who was completely new to it. The timing of the announcement that they signed a television deal with TSN couldn't be better. I may have to check out the weekly series once it premieres.
