Pre-Show: Indi Hartwell def. RosemaryThis match only came together on Thursday's iMPACT!. I wish they took a little longer to build to it so it didn't feel so rushed, but they had a decent match, nonetheless. It's worth noting that Dani Luna prevented Rosemary from cheating and aided Hartwell to victory. I've been questioning their alliance lately, so I'm glad Hartwell leaned into it during a backstage interview later on by teasing tension with her. I assume that leads to a Luna heel turn and Hartwell facing Luna before challenging for the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Pre-Show: The Home Town Man def. Ryan NemethIt was weird to have Ryan Nemeth on the show and not Nic Nemeth, but this match did make sense after The Nemeths attacks Home Town Man a few weeks ago on iMPACT!. Plus, this was relegated to the pre-show, so it was harmless. Home Town Man's matches are basic, but they're fun and the crowd didn't mind. This didn't overstay its welcome, though Nemeth losing before he and Nic go back after the TNA World Tag Team Championship at some point was an interesting call. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater def. Cedric AlexanderIt was wise to have this serve as the opener given the chaotic nature of it. Unsurprisingly, they had terrific chemistry and delivered the super strong opener they were capable of. Both guys are great and I wouldn't be opposed to an eventual rematch. If Slater keeps having more matches like this, he's going to have a hell of a run as X-Division champ. Matt Cardona def. Mustafa AliWhy not do Ali vs. Joe Hendry at this event instead of on iMPACT! a few weeks ago? There was nothing wrong with this whatsoever (in fact, it was a quality contest for what it was), but it very much felt like a television match, and the outcome was questionable. I imagine the idea is to prolong the program, but Ali was building momentum with wins over Hendry and Alexander, so having him beat Cardona (who lacks direction at the moment) was the wrong call in my opinion. First Class def. The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers)I liked how The System made the save for Cardona once Order 4 started to attack him, which was a seamless segue into this already-scheduled match. Similar to Cardona vs. Ali, it could have easily happened on iMPACT!, but it was perfectly fine while it lasted. Order 4 interfered to cost The System the victory, so The System had an out for losing. First Class had to win to establish some credibility now that Rich Swann has replaced KC Navarro. Mike Santana def. Sami Callihan in a Baltimore Street FightCallihan said he'd retire from the ring if he lost here. Initially, I didn't get why Santana would be his final opponent, but then I remembered the history they had from when LAX feuded with oVe all those years ago. I don't them them making it a Street Fight at the last minute with Callihan being The Death Machine, but then why give the TNA International Championship match a similar situation? Otherwise, this was good. I haven't seen an above-average matchup from him in a long time, so this was the best it could be considering the circumstances. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand (M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) def. The IInspiration, Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx), and Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside in a Four-Way Tag Team MatchTechnically, Ash and Heather by Elegance are the champs, but it was said that The Elegance Brand can defend the titles via the Freebird Rule. Putting so many teams in one match can sometimes result in a mess of a match, but this was actually entertaining for the most part. They kept the pace consistent throughout and everyone worked well together. With The Elegance Brand retaining, The IInspiration should finally get the belts back at Bound for Glory. Additionally, Lei Ying Lee was signed to a new contract by officials beforehand, which was a cool moment. TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys def. The Rascalz (Myron Reed and Zachary Wentz)We got The Hardys vs. The Rascalz earlier this year, but that was when Wentz and Trey Miguel were representing The Rascalz. This was equally excellent and they packed quite a bit into the time they were allotted. The Rascalz were never going to win, but this was a blast, regardless. Personally, I don't think The Hardys vs. Team 3D at Bound for Glory needs to be for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, but it's looking like that's going to be the case at this point. The System and Poe Crashed First Class Penthouse Hosted by First ClassFor those unfamiliar, Poe is the Baltimore Ravens mascot (obviously, this event emanated from Baltimore). This was the usual unnecessary installment of First Class Penthouse, and Swann replacing Navarro didn't make much of a difference. The System interrupting them furthered that feud, but they already interacted earlier in the evening, so this felt like it was designed to kill time more than anything. TNA World Champion Trick Williams def. MooseThis suffered from the same issue as the TNA World Tag Team Championship match in that fans had no reason to believe the TNA World Championship was changing hands, especially after Williams retained at Slammiversary. I'm happy we got this fresh match, however, and it was a solid match. I'll take this over a tag team main event without stakes any day, and at least Williams has been very active as TNA World Champion. Overall ShowThis was one of the better live specials TNA has done on its streaming service in recent memory. The TNA World Championship was on the line in the main event and several other championships were defended. Granted, none of them changed hands, but I didn't think they would so close to Bound for Glory, and it still ended up being a thumbs-up event that breezed by with enough enjoyable action.
