Eric Young def. Sami CallihanIt's only appropriate that Young wrestled in the opener with this episode falling on the exact 23-year anniversary of TNA's first-ever show (and I'm glad that was acknowledged by the commentators). This was a fairly average outing, but it was well worked and a nice win for Young, who is coming off losses to Steve Maclin and Moose in the last few months. John Skyler Shoved Mustafa Ali During the Order 4 SummitAs I've said before, I'm not a big fan of Order 4 already teasing tension considering they haven't been a thing for that long, but at least they're doing a good job telling this story and having all the members stand up to Ali. This was a solid segment, but I'm curious what the endgame of the angle will be. Jason Hotch failed to beat Ali at Against All Odds and I don't think Skyler will be successful next week, either. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) def. TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and Lei Ying Lee (Non-Title)Slamovich is already scheduled to be facing Killer Kelly for the TNA Knockouts World Championship next week on iMPACT!, so I hated that Slamovich ate the pinfall loss for her team here, even if it was thanks to a distraction from Kelly on the stage. The match itself was decent but was essentially an afterthought with the aforementioned angle overshadowing it. I also didn't think The Elegance Brand was losing until they defend against The IInspiration at Slammiversary. Jake Something Attacked Mance WarnerWarner and Steph De Lander interrupted Tommy Dreamer and Santino Marella after Warner attacked Dreamer last week. Something had been out injured since the beginning of the year and I like bringing him back with immediate direction by putting him in a program with Warner. I actually hope Something emerges from the feud victorious because I feel like he has the higher ceiling of the two. The Home Town Man and Matt Cardona def. The System (Eddie Edwards and JDC)Home Town Man, a.k.a. Cody Deaner under a mask, was Cardona's mystery partner. It was fitting that Home Town Man pinned Edwards given Edwards beat him at Under Siege. This was fun despite being brief. It really didn't to be much more than what it was. The System got their heat back afterward by laying out Home Town Man and Cardona, so the feud isn't over yet. Elijah, The Rascalz, Leon Slater and Joe Hendry def. TNA World Tag Team Champions The Nemeths, TNA X-Division Champion Moose, TNA International Champion Steve Maclin and TNA World Champion Trick Williams in a Champions Challenge MatchTNA did one of these matches last year and it was a bit of a mess with so many people involved. I'm glad they downsized this year with less people as it made for a better bout. They were given an ample amount of time and everyone had a chance to do their thing. Ryan Nemeth eating the pin for his team was logical. Does that mean Elijah is owed a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship now since he pinned Nemeth? Either way, this furthered multiple feuds simultaneously. Overall ShowIt's a bummer TNA didn't make a bigger deal out of this episode with it falling on TNA's exact anniversary by bringing back a legend or two, but with it being a taped show, there was only so much they could do, not to mention we've had enough "throwback" shows from TNA in recent years to where another one wasn't necessary, especially with the focus firmly being on Slammiversary. Nonetheless, this was an adequate edition of iMPACT!, even though the main event was the sole thing of any real note.
