The Rascalz def. Laredo Kid, First Class and The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) in a TNA World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender's Four-Way Tag Team MatchThe System took out Octagon Jr. backstage beforehand, so Kid had to go at it alone (and hence had an out for getting pinned). Kid actually showed up on Tuesday's NXT and declared he'll be a part of the Fatal 4-Way for the NXT North American Championship at Worlds Collide, so despite his loss here, he'll be just fine. At any rate, this was a fun, franticly-paced tag team opener to set up The Nemeths vs. The Rascalz for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Against All Odds. Mustafa Ali def. Raj SinghSingh returned at Under Siege as the mystery partner for the babyface team and he was well-received by the crowd being from the area. This was also taped in the Toronto area, so this was a logical match to do. I'm not sure if Singh will be sticking around, but I don't see any reason for him to now that he's lost to Ali again. They had a nice match in the time they were allotted, though Ali probably didn't need as much outside help as he ended up getting. Lei Ying Lee def. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Ash by EleganceMasha Slamovich already handpicked Lee as her next TNA Knockouts World Championship challenger after she beat Victoria Crawford at Under Siege, but Robert Stone told Lee she'd have to earn the opportunity. This win must have been enough since it was confirmed toward the end of the show that Slamovich vs. Lee is indeed on for Against All Odds. As a match, this was passable, but keeping it on the shorter side was for the best. Mance Warner def. Bryce HansenThis was a simple showcase for Warner and it was over in a matter of minutes as it should have been. He and Steph De Lander cut a quick promo afterward just saying they have their sights set on the TNA International Championship, even though Warner was unsuccessful in becoming the inaugural champ last month. TNA is doing an effective job of making the title feel coveted out of the gate with several people gunning for it. Robert Stone and Victoria Crawford def. Santino Marella and Arianna GraceLongtime referee Jimmy Korderas served as the ref here, or at least until he was replaced by Alisha Edwards per Stone. Most of this consisted of shenanigans, so it was far from a barn-burner, but it was entertaining for what it was. Plus, I'm sure it was cool for the father and daughter duo to team up (I believe) for the first time ever. The heels pulled out another win via nefarious means, so Marella and Grace will get their moment eventually. Harley Hudson and Myla Grace Interrupted M by Elegance and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Heather by EleganceI really dug the profile packages that we got on Hudson and Grace earlier in the episode, introducing viewers to who they are and what they're about for those unfamiliar. Personally, I knew nothing about them other than that TNA signed them recently, so that was a smart piece of business. This segment was rather basic, but it did establish that Maggie Lee will be known as M by Elegance (stupid name, by the way) going forward and give the Elegance group their next feud. TNA International Champion Steve Maclin def. Matt CardonaAdding onto what I said earlier, the TNA International Championship has only been around for a little over a month and already it's headlined two episodes of iMPACT!. Expect this title to be defended more than the TNA World Championship in the coming months. Kidding aside, this was a very good main event. Maclin retaining felt like a foregone conclusion, but some of the suspenseful nearfalls from Cardona down the stretch were well done. Overall ShowI forgot that Against All Odds is coming up next Friday night, so TNA has extremely limited time to put a card together. Multiple matches were announced and it's largely a logical card. Obviously, this edition of iMPACT! was filmed before Trick Williams won the TNA World Championship from Joe Hendry at NXT Battleground, so other than the Tom Hannifan talking about constantly on commentary, the only presence he had was in a brief pre-taped segment backstage. He'll be defending against Elijah at Against All Odds (assuming he beats Mike Santana on Tuesday's NXT), so that's an encouraging sign. On the whole, this was a quality episode, but it's clear they're going to have to rush some things before the next event.
